He's gone .
He'd better not have CHL or I'll never trust one of your piss-take posts ever again. He's gone .
That statement seem to be a bit of a 'hands off' to other clubs and reassurance to us, the supporters.
t's not a "new" contract, though. Signed in February. A lot has changed since then.
Yet another misquote. What he said was 'we won't sell him to the big dogs unless they'll pay us game changing monies, as we need this to achieve Europe in five years, fuck Liverpool, think Barcelona'Kevin McCabe has said "Brooks will never be sold unless it's for a new world record fee"
He hasn't obviously, but let's have standard bullshit wording when the shit eventually hit the fan and the claims start coming.

No, he just said that, grabbed a bottle of charity money from the bar and legged it.No mention of a friendly though?

I don't think even United are that stupid as to sell a player with clear incredible potential for 3.5 million in this market.
When you look at the money being spent by premier league clubs it would be a horrendous deal when you look at Brooks likely future value.
Only in the world of this forum can in 1 minute Wilder announce a contract has been signed and 1 min later ITK say Brooks has gone. Magical!
Both DCL and Adams had extended their contracts but we still ended up selling them. It just means we might get an extra 2 or 3 quid for Dave.
There's only one thing getting worse by the minute pal.Fuck a fucking duck . This is getting worse by the minute . The club he's going to are in the process of selling a midfielder of theirs to Hull City ( I haven't a clue who that is ) and this means theyve now been able to sign Brooks .
If this IS true there isn't a person on here who will beat me shoeless to the car park![]()

David Brooks signed a new contract at Bramall Lane earlier this year, Chris Wilder has revealed.
The Sheffield United manager, speaking at the Championship club’s training ground this morning, confirmed Brooks was handed fresh terms towards the end of last season but that “we didn’t chose to make a fuss of it” at the time.
“David did that in February,” Wilder said. “So we’re protected there. There’s not any worries on that score.”
Brooks, aged 20, has enjoyed a stellar rise since being plucked from the Steelphalt Academy following Wilder’s appointment 15 months ago. Having impressed during Tuesday’s Carabao Cup tie against Leicester City, he could make his first league start for United when Derby County visit South Yorkshire on Saturday. Brooks’ present agreement is believed to extend until 2019.
Good to see this confirmed but it's nothing new to me, I thought he had at least 18 months left. I got quite excited there for a second!
Hopefully 2019 means summer 2019, surely it will do if it's a senior contract he signed.
We should still be looking to extend it though. Because the better he does, the harder that'll get.
I agree with you completely in principle but some players are just destined to move on to bigger and better things and brooks is certainly moving in that direction, the premier league looks nailed on for the lad and even if we keep hold for the next 2 seasons it's only a matter of time before he wants premiership football and potentially an England call up. Like I said nothing's written in stone for him yet but he's certainly heading in this direction.

I do agree with you, some players are clearly a class above others and are destined for better things quicker than we can provide them however, I wanna see us get to see the talent he has and excite our crowds before moving on to new horizons. I'm very glad to see today that he has signed a 2 year extension until 2019. Sadly, these things often don't mean much in modern football but at least its something to cling on to
