The only time when this arguably isn't the case, is when money has to come in to stop the club ceasing to exist. Football transfers, like any market, are a form of gambling. You could value Brooks at twenty million, and he could do his anterior cruciate ligament in the next game. It's up to our staff to understand the market and maximise assets. Hopefully then any money will help us substantially improve our squad, and in turn the status of our club.
