I understand the sentiment towards a guy like Billy Sharp, but come on, i'm not a 'Blades' fan (Well I kind of am, but it's a long debate), but there's a reason Wilder is time after time selecting McBurnie as his main number 9.
Wilder is not a man who really has 'favorites'. He's selected a number of players from League 1 until now because they have performed for him, not because of any sentimental values he has. He knew Sharp would not be good enough for this level, hence he signed not 1, or 2 but 3 strikers.
Berge, along with Sissoko actually, were the two best midfielders on the pitch by a mile watching that game. I've said after watching every game since lockdown that he has been United's best midfielder on the pitch, in games like Villa/Newcastle Norwood/Fleck completely let him down.
Stop comparing the performances of McBurnie/Berge in the Premier League to the performances of players last season in the Championship.
