My guess is that Genk and Sander Berge are happy to wait till the summer, particularly if Norway qualify for the Euro's then he'll have a great stage to showcase his talent and for Genk to receive a much higher fee. I can't see us getting him now, but its great that we've clearly had an interest at some point, shame we couldn't get it done in the summer but it seems he was listening to the likes of Danny Mills and thought we were going to be fighting relegation!

If he does sign it's not just because we have had a decent season so far. I would suspect he's been assured that we are looking to be a top 6 side every year and money is there to keep developing the squad.

It would be a massive statement from the club and makes up for not signing Laudrup all those years ago (and Papin)

If its between us, Burnley and West ham. He's coming here. 1 West ham are signing tomas soucek. He's a 6'4 midfielder, also a very good player but they won't sign both. I think we could probably match if not better the wages from Burnley, plus there's the fact of how we've played in the Prem and the respective styles of the 2 teams. The fact the other day CW said on record when talking about new signings this week how he wanted to thank the board for their backing, saying they had been terrific, suggests there might be somat happening on a big scale, so Berge might be it
