Actually I think he could be a bit taller and bulk up a bit muscle wise

Hefty lump upfront they want is it. Well we got a fat lad from Sheffield who keeps gerrin splinters in his arse and is robbin the club of a wage......according to someShame we haven't got Higdon anymore if they want a hefty lump upfront.
A bog roll from our very own PrinceDo I get something for passing?
Slight correction WBAnd putting 2d in Muffin the Mule!
Unfortunately for us if it was a straight shoot out between us Spurs and Chelsea we wont get a look in, they'll pay him what, 80 grand a week? More? And for foreign players London is a lure too.
Edit - by the way 'poor downtrodden Sheffield mentality'? Tha wot?
True! But I do think we should be aiming to improve on what we have. Whether it’s this player or someone else. We are a team at the top end of the Prem with European ambitions. We need to think and act like it.At the end of the day you don't have a clue about the player in question. Which is only to be expected.
The only danger with that is alienating the rest of the squad if someone suddenly arrives on 3 times the wages of everybody else haha. Of course that's the going rate now at the level we hope to remain at, but we need to be careful as to how and when we go about gradually improving the team I think. That said if we can get this geezer let's get him inWe can’t/won’t/shouldn’t compete on wages at that level. And Sheffield isn’t London I agree. (It’s Berra!)..
As for the Sheffield mentality...you know what? it’s what makes us who we are. The self-effacing, modest, expect nowt/expect summat bad to ‘appen/Arr much? mentality. But it does get in the way sometimes. We have to stop thinking that way (but we won’t). It’s going to take a few years of European domination before some Blades come to terms with our greatness and what is possible. And even then there’ll be some still lamenting the fact we let George Long and Matty Done leave and didn’t put a bid in for Stuart Beavon!![]()

When I was little my Grandad told me mint rock was made from the teeth of people who swear ,and I believed him ,the twat.Mate... don’t worry about that. It’s going to happen. It has to happen. That’s life. And Wilder will manage it.
When Dixon’s Mint Rock of Sheffield brought me in as Senior Sweetmaker, I was on treble the wages of anyone else in that company. Did it create tension? Yes! But they understood that I was bringing something to the company that they just didn’t have at the time.
How I ended up sticking little coloured balls on liquorice allsorts at Bassetts a few weeks later I’ll never know!![]()
Sander Berge

I get the sentiment but thinking a player wouldn’t join us over Chelsea or Spurs isn’t a downtrodden inferior Sheffield mentality. It’s realism.
Go check your teeth in the mirror Sitters! When I was little my Grandad told me mint rock was made from the teeth of people who swear ,and I believed him ,the twat.
They are fine ,but my tongue has gone black.Go check your teeth in the mirror Sitters!
That’s a good response!Sure many people could have said that about Manchester City at one point.
I bet you’ve been licking all sorts! They are fine ,but my tongue has gone black.

Man city averaged 28000 in lg 1That’s a good response!
It’s not so long ago (we’ll maybe it is) that Man City were slugging it out in the old 3rd division. They were the joke of Manchester. A big club trapped in the wrong body of the 3rd division. Crowds of less than 20,000.
How times have changed!
I went to City a few weeks ago for the Blades game. 54,000 in there.
What’s changed? Did any of those City fans back in the old 3rd division anticipate this?
In life, anything is possible. But if you think it isn’t then it definitely won’t be!

Ok Eddie !! But it's about growing the club.Man city averaged 28000 in lg 1
Manchester’s a great City and has the big city feel of LondonSure many people could have said that about Manchester City at one point.

Our Sheffield is a bit shit like
There's also the fact that Manchester City are based in Manchester, not Sheffield. To anyone other than Sheffielders, Manchester is a more attractive location, like it or not.Yeah, about 15 years ago, before they struck ridiculous oil money investment and began to build the empire they have now.
I’m talking about the here and now, this January transfer window, or next pre-season. Thinking a player would pick us over Chelsea and Spurs right now is being either wildly optimistic or just delusional.
