Caicedo gone to Arsenal. Could pave the way for Berge to Brighton?

TalkSPORT just ‘reported’ that both Berge and N’Diaye ‘could’ be available for the right price.
Pray to god it’s just journalists speculating!

Question if we paid £22m for Berge how can he be worth £20m now into the last year of his contract surely his value depreciates, so is it more likely he is worth closer to £10m. I get the fact you are only worth what someone is willing to pay for you but I cannot see how we take in £20m for Berge ?? 😭

You're mixing up market value and amortization (the spreading out of capital expenses related to intangible assets i.e. the fee Utd paid for Berge over a specific duration i.e. his contract length of 4 years).

Another good example surfaced yesterday with Chelsea (who seem to be playing a game of Go for Broke offered ~£105m for a player Benfica bought for £10m last summer and will be holding at slightly less in their books.

As you say jerno talk but if it happened I would hazard a guess we no longer have a buyer

The ONLY terms we should consider selling Ndiaye on should include a loan back for the rest of the season

I'd imagine any side willing to pay a Jan premium to sign Ndiaye now will most likely be looking for an immediate impact (to keep them up!) rather than planning for the future

If this happened then the club is indeed a fking total utter basket case .

I honestly can’t think of any other club , in my lifetime , who were so close to the brink of promotion to the PL , and even if relegated in first year would receive circa £170m plus 2 x £45m - around £260m - and manufactured their way to selling their best assets, not reinforcing , thereby putting all the above at risk .

If this happened anywhere else you wouldn’t believe it and would think the owners - in Brian Clough speak - wanted bloody shooting !

Today will help us be a little more clearer towards the mindset of the current owner / future new owner (if indeed there is one ) and what we have in store

There is absolutely no info from the club which in itself is a disgrace - the Prince (well his crazy spokesman was) was clear about his intended involvement in the club when Hecky was appointed - but one would have thought that Bettis would have come out from under a rock by now to add a little clarity and at least look as though he was part of the current running of the club - where is he ?

Feel sorry for Hecky really do

If we fk this up then they can truly fk off over the horizon as far as I’m concerned

Enough is enough

Just sayin

Feel your pain but who knows, might be a good business / negation ploy by PA. Respect the silence around takeover as gossip could draw unwanted attention. PA might be doing the best he can for us given his limited funding, but if £’s have run out! Can’t fault his handling of club to this point but feel it’s got away from him now and he could be after his money back. Remember what Scrooge said “ there’s nothing in this world as bad as poverty but nothing hated more than those in persuit of wealth”.
As you say 11pm might tell a thousand stories for us, but expect the worst us best as a blade.

Let’s see .

It could be stacking up favourably in our efforts to sell Berge...

If Caicedo's gone to Arsenal, Brighton can easily afford him
If Newcastle don't get Gallagher when they were ready to spend 45m, they can easily afford him
If Fulham don't get Lukic, they can easily afford him

And afford a decent fee on our terms

Hard to know. They can get embroiled in just the general rumour talk.

However think they were first to break Wilder departure though?

Just been sent this.... from inside the boardroom this morning. 😬😬

Brighton can easily afford him anyway, they're net 100m up on transfers this season alone. That's before Caicedo.
