Maxster, you are a mine of information, some of which seems to be very unique, in that you are the only one that is aware of it.
Please go back to colouring

Yes. Like Nathan Byrne, we could have signed him but for some strange reason chose not to. Kemar Roofe is a 'Byrne' like player that will go on to better things. Tom Eastman and Aaron Pierre are others.

I called it with Byrne and I'm calling it with these. I hope we sign one or two of them when the squad allows. Such a shame that our awful summer recruitment has meant there's a very good chance we'll miss out.

Only 2 perm signings made in the summer.

Five poor signings overall. All of whom are contributing to the reason we can't sign anyone now. Five good signings in the right positions and things would have been different, but they aren't and it isn't.

He'd be my number one target this transfer window. He'd be a hell of a popular signing & a true sign of intent.

Get him in Nige, YKIMS.

Sammon is the only poor one and Clough had a hand in agreeing that.
Sharp has over 10 goals by the new year, Edgar looks solid, Hammond is turning into a very good player and Woolford seems to finally be coming good.

So don't talk bollocks.

5? Who knew October was in the summer?

You're living in cloud cuckoo land kid. And you're getting carried away with a decent defensive performance yesterday. A typical attribute for those who don't know a great deal. Sammon is very poor. He can't head, can't pass, can't hold it up, nothing. Just another Higdon mark 2.

Sharp has got the majority of his goals through penalties, so an argument on goals is largely baseless in terms of any evidence of technical ability. Incredibly over-priced for what he is. Edgar started off well, but quickly deteriorated into wearily ducking out of challenges and showing a real lack of fighting spirit. Not convinced he has the talent needed to back that up either.

Hammond has been poor overall, again you're letting the one game cloud your judgement on his entire spell with United. Poor performances vastly outweigh any good or even average ones.

And Woolford, he's one of the worst I've seen at the lane for many years. No energy, no movement, largely static for the majority of games. Form might have picked up recently but if he had anything about him he wouldn't have put in such a disappointing run of games earlier in the season.

Are you talking about the Oxford game??

You speak, utter fucking bollocks. Sharp has 3 Penalties (and 4 assists) - The majority of 11 by the way, would be 6. He is on his way to been the 20 goals a season striker we have been crying out for ever since Ched got sent down thats without including his work rate and everything else he brings to the team.

You havent seen Hammond, or woolford play in how many weeks since selling your season ticket and keeping away from the lane so any comment you make on them is about as useful and relevant as a chocolate fireguard.

You really are a drain on this forums bandwith costs.

.
Am I not allowed to have an opinion on the first 14 games?

14 football matches gives a reliable enough means to judge a players ability.

You're a complete fucking wally, kid.
Sammon I'll give you is wank, the rest of them you'd have to have some sort of agenda to dismiss.

Edgar's early and recent form was and is very good. Hammond has picked up very well since around Coventry, he's put some miles in and is the old head we need in midfield. Woolford has picked up a lot and has a good left foot.

And even trying to slate Sharp voids your point.

What a complete degenerate.

No, its not, given they have improved 10 fold recently, your views are out of date and no longer relevant

oh, and thanks for ignoring all the Sharp comments, you really are just a troll on the wind up. An absolute waste of Oxygen.

No, you think I'm a troll because you disagree with me.

Shows signs of narrow mindedness and an inability to debate - without having a strop.

An arse? From the one petulantly going out of their way to pick up on little insignificant mistakes.

Pot....kettle...black

Barn Owl, you once picked me up for a missing apostrophe when I was typing on my phone.........

Sharp has scored 3 penalties and has 4 assists from 11 goals. Explain how that is a "majority"

We wanted Sharp as a 20 goals a season striker, He is more than half way to achieving that total, recent form and performances suggest he will easily get that figure, explain how he is lacking the required technical ability

Sharp is "over-priced" please can you confirm exactly how much we paid for sharp, what his contractual wages and associated bonuses are (do not forget sources) and then explain why you feel he is over-priced? - Also, please do not forget to add in how much he generated in direct revenue from people returning to guys, buying merchandise with his name on etc etc.

Thanks

It's a basis to form an opinion as to how they played in those 14 games (is it 14? Did you go to Millwall now?). It's not a basis to tell others who say Hammond and Woolford have shown improvement over the last month or so that they are living in cloud cuckoo land when they have more knowledge on that particular issue than you.

For what it's worth I'm still not totally convinced on Woolford but there has certainly been some improvement after those awful early season performances. Hammond has a lot of good qualities that our team was lacking (professionalism, workrate, desire, aggression, strength, aerieal prowess etc) but his lack of pace is still a concern. Basham helps compensate when they play together though.

It isn't a majority, fine.

Regards the rest, if everyone relied on that level of accuracy for evidence of opinions, nobody would have any posts to their name. It's impossible to know those details, unless you're involved with the club in one way or another.

Oh and do not "do not" me either, please.

Right, so the conclusion is, you are talking bollocks and can not back up, any of your arguments or opinion? Magic. Thanks for clearing that up.

Do not feel obliged to respond. You just keep backing yourself into these corners, it is much more amusing.

I'm sorry but Hammond is a long way from coming good.

If he continues to improve at his current rate he might just about reach "mediocre" in time for the run in.

I have been genuinely surprised at how bad he is on the ball. He gets tackled on numerous occasions. This should not happen to someone playing his role. Doyle rarely got tackled, Baxter doesn't, McDonald and Coady didn't, neither did McCall, Brown, Speed or any other decent central midfielder we've had. A so-called experienced midfielder like him should know what they are going to do before they receive the ball. Pass first time, or take one touch then play it. Hammond dallies, still looking uncertain after a couple of touches. It is a fast paced league and he can ill-afford to take the unnecessary time and unnecessary touches, which lose momentum, and, often, possession. He has been a disappointment thus far.

Our central midfield of Hammond and Basham is my biggest concern within our current team.

Just seen that he thinks he's leaving Chesterfield and has made a farewell speech. supposedly going to Wigan for 200k

Shame, but never coming here while ever NA's main target of Hammond is here

Tweet some time back suggested we hadn't even enquired about him whilst under NA's tenure

Needed more than ever. Really hope there are concerted efforts being made behind the scenes to make this happen.

If we could somehow do this, even if it was the only business done this window, I'd be delighted.

Snow in hell chance of this happening IMO. Understand why you desire it but let me give you mattress to land on.

Heard we are interested but unwilling to pay for him with his contract being up at the end of the season. Won't be surprised if someone comes in while we piss about as usual

It surely would not take much of a bid to get him early or even get him on a pre-contract agreement. He is surely free to speak to other clubs anyway.

If it's only 200k gamble then we should go for it but then it is 200k McCabe would prefer to keep in his back pocket.
