They've made it clear he can go by accepting offers from two clubs, so not really of any significance. The issue seems to be that Tufty, as I call him, is one of very few Blades who doesn't think he's the new Platini...
Who else has bid for him? Saw that Scunthorpe did, but who was the other club?

When this level of over-excitement happens clear and rational thinking vanishes, to be replaced by an obsessive belief that the player concerned can offer far more than he can actually deliver. Morsy may well be a decent player, but Wigan don't appear to have him in their plans, so perhaps we should use this as a sign that we should look elsewhere.

The danger here is that after 79 pages Morsy has gone from a decent Division 3 CM to Roy Keane,Paul Gascoigne and Paul Scholes all in one but better.
God help him if he ever did sign. The level of expectation alone would kill him.
Also, either Wilder is playing an incredibly clever mind game that makes Fergie look positively amateurish or ,and I hate to put this out there,he actually isn`t remotely interested in the player.

Considering the level over excitement, Wilder has stated that he's not interested in Morsy....

I know, I just wonder if some posters consider this a ruse on Wilder's part. Personally I think he has no interest in Morsy, but the momentum this thread has produced seems to involve the fabricated belief that whatever our manager says it doesn't matter, Morsy remains a target (for some) whether Wilder wants him or not.

Seems pretty clear to me that Wigan don't want Morsy and will let him go as they've brought at least 2 new players in that play his position, he's not in their squad and they apparently accepted 2 bids.

Morsy is saying all the right things about fighting for his place but must know the writing is on the wall so this may be an attempt to get paid off as he must have 2 yrs on his contract at decent wages that neither us or Scunny will pay.

Is Wilder interested or not? Although he says not he fits the bill and that may be just a negotiating stance. Whatever I would bet decent money he's not at Wigan come 1st September but I'm not sure he'll be at Bramall Lane either !

Don't think Morsy is the answer to our midfield and if he does come it reluctantly. New lad from borough looked piss poor, we need a fast winger and God forgive me for saying it as a squad player we would have been better keeping JCR and bumin Scoogs off to Fleetwood.

We've just signed a winger and he was in for 20 minutes after zero preparation.

You surely haven't written him off after that?

If Basham is the answer to our CM problems we don't understand the question. Morsy if possible now becomes a priority. (along with a keeper lol)

Absolutely not but he didn't impress one bit. Hope he comes good ASAP but today he looked at home with a bunch of clueless players
