Given how well the academy has stocked the first team squad, it’s not that risky (IMO).

He’s above league 2 level now, and has got better as he’s been played regularly. If Seriki goes in the summer I’d prefer to play him and watch him develop (hopefully like Seriki has) rather than waste wages on an older player. It’d be a risk, but don’t most fans want to see a young player prove himself?

I’m not sure I’d have him as a first choice this season, but I’d have him as understudy to an experienced RB picking up minutes from the bench, a bit like Seriki last season. It would then be up to him to step up and continue to develop.
