Sale of club...

I was stood outside a pub on London Road post-match, celebrating as we all were. I overheard a guy talking about why United (McCabe in particular) should pin Wilder down on a better contract.

This guy then said a relation (or mate) of his goes out with McCabes niece. The club was almost sold last week but for crossing the t's and dotting the i's.


Can anyone shed any light on this? Nothing else was said so my info is as it is.

See the following thread for where we could be without the McCabe family. I for one am not a McCabe hater and things could be a whole lot worse and I personally hope they stay around. He gets lots of abuse for not chucking millions at the club but it is a business and we have seen today what chucking money at players achieves, nothing. He appointed managers that most of us fully supported at the time so he was only as wrong as we were. Hope it is not true as I like a Blade at the healm, I doubt a foreign owner would ever have appointed our Chris.
