Sack Wilder

Never wanted him back, I would have accepted him as an interim to see the season out but giving him an 18 month contract and letting him be the guy to plot the rebuild was a huge mistake and I said so at the time.

Great the first spell in charge, until his tactics got found out, since then he’s been a busted flush.

He didn't re-invent himself at Boro or Watford.

Can we just get to the end of the season and appoint someone young with new ideas rather than change again and have another manager come under the cosh
Is that why Potter was in the crowd?

I doubt he’d go anywhere near us but I bloody hope that’s the reason. Be a big gamble for him and going from Chelsea to Us in the championship doesn’t make sense

Maybe the announcement is Potter will take charge and our academy is on course to be Cat 1.

He’s got more character and personality than the first xi put together
And that's the mentality that's got us into this cul de sac... Stop picking players, managers, coaches based on character and personality, and use data analytics like every other fucking team does. I want players who are athletes who can play, not ones who kiss the badge and run about a lot ...

The man hasn't a fucking clue. We looked better in December against Villa.
Well yeah of course we did. We also drew 1-1. Nearly won 1-0. It was a good smash and grab away type performance. We restricted them to very little.

We've had two of wilders worst performances this week in my opinion. Palace wasn't good really.

Rest you can see more from and many of them we could have picked up more from.

I’d agree normally. But this season players like him are vital.

When you’re getting battered like it or loathe it we need them. We haven’t got the plan or system to play without them.

Agreed. But the bloke in charge signed a majority of this squad and wasted millions. Wasn’t Brewster the same price as Watkins?
Same prices as Eze , in fact, 3 1/2 million more. But he said he chose to sign for Palace. Both transfers completed in the same month.

We need to totally reinvent ourselves if we want to ever compete at this level. I don’t want to see another passionate ex-blade as manager for a long time. We shoot ourselves in the foot by having such basic, narrow parameters for a manager.
Agreed. Not just manager, but players too. We love looking backwards, clamouring for ex-players to return like some comfort blanket.

I would love us to part company with CW as soon as relegation is confirmed, appoint Lester as caretaker until the end of the season and be starting the search now for a bright young manager from the EFL or a rising star from Europe. New ideas & a fundamental shift away from Bladeyness is needed.

And no, not Billy Sharp, he is completely unqualified to be our manager. It’s time to change the club’s DNA.

I'm a wilder backer but I was surprised by tonight's line up.

I did not think Holgate should have jumped straight into starting. Surely he doesn't yet know enough about us.

Robinson is arguably our better performing defender, so for him to make way is a bit perplexing.

Osula and this isn't a crit on him, he's still raw. Archer has far more goals to his name to date in his career and looks more like scoring generally.
I can understand if it's for pace up top but I don't think we always need that.

Lastly Hamer splits opinion sometimes but he has to be in the line up.

Not gonna go too hard on RND, but he's not quite up to speed.

For me our starting line up should have been.

Wes,
Bogle, Anel, Robbo, Trusty, RND
Hamer, Souza,
McAtee
Archer, BBD
I was not a big fan of Wilder coming back for a second spell but I do think that him checking the new goalkeeper and Holgate in only a few hours after signing shows Wilders real desperation and despair that the current set of players are absolutely useless.

We tried that with Slav but then to be fair expected him to work miracles with wrong type of players

We need to stick with him into next year
Going through two managers suggests maybe they aren't the problem. I think we've got a decent squad for next year with some youngsters coming out though but it's clear we're not good enough atm

Compète at this level ? Hard to imagine that in the foreseable
