There is a 'end of season awards' thread already on both sites but as S2 and Bladesmad are the 2 most popular forums I thought it would be interesting to combine the two. As someone who posts on both boards I will collect the votes and hopefully we will have a definitive outlook of the opinions of Blades fans on The Net.

If this proves popular then I will have the results ready by the last game of the season. Anyway the categories are....

In terms of being 'spectacular' we've actually not had many goals/performances that I look back on and think 'wow' but we have become effective and efficient. Like a lower league Chelsea.

2.Young Player Of The Season: Conor Dimaio. Harry Maguire will win this hands down so this is a vote for the next talent off the production line who I think will play a big part next season. Honourable mention to Terry Kennedy.
3.Most Improved Player: Jamie Murphy
4.Best Signing: Jose Baxter. Honourable mention to Scougall but I've only seen him play twice.
5.Best Team Performance Of The Season: Aston Villa (a)
6.Best Single Performance From A Player : Flynn at Villa.
7.Best Single Moment Of The Season: Flynn's goal against Villa. Two Wembley moments come close: the ovation after Hull's fifth and Baxter's goal.
8.Best Goal Of The Season: Baxter's free kick against Oldham.
9.Best Away Day: Villa. 6,000 Blades going absolutely mental will live in my memory for years.
10.Worst Away Day: I haven't had a bad one this season (Orient, Villa, Fulham, Gillingham, Crawley, Wembley)
11.Worst Team Performance Of The Season: Preston at home (nb I've only seen 10 games; those above plus Preston, Gillingham, Oldham and Stevenage at home)
12.Worst Signing: Marlon King. We took a risk on him and it backfired spectacularly. (Dis)honourable mentions to Sean McGinty and Lyle Taylor.
13.Worst Single Performance From A Player: George Long vs Gillingham.
14.Most Disappointing player: Lyle Taylor/Febian Brandy. Can't separate them.
15.Worst Single Moment Of The Season: Realising that Weir wasn't ever going to come good - P10 W1 D2 L7 F6 A16 Pt5 says it all but the penny finally dropped for me after Preston scored at the Lane and we didn't have a clue how to get back into it.
16.Worst Player: Joe Ironside, narrowly pipping Marlon King. Dishonorable mention to Billy Paynter too; I don't think he's ever looked like scoring.
