No he’s still contracted to Hamilton Scottish clubs outside of Rangers and Celtic tend to let youngsters that are getting prem interest go on trial.

It’s a bit of an acknowledgement that they can’t offer the kind of wages to keep that player whilst allowing the player to make an informed decision about which club fits them best and is best for their development. Sometimes it works out for the club and the player chooses to stay with his club but even if they move they’re moving to the place they feel more comfortable. That means as the selling club you’re maximising your chances of them settling in and hopefully you getting any performance or sell on related clauses in the deal.
