If he signs, part of his contract should be giving back hours to all who have viewed this thread, in anticipation for someone who is likely to start on the bench. A kind of community service, if you will.

Look I'm only contributing to this thread to get. It over the Morsy total , because unfortunately it isn't going to happen ☹️☹️
 
Things tend to happen in linear order in football, rather than multi tasking which I freely admit I'm shite at and, I suspect. so are many on here. Best left to the female variety who pretend they can multi task.........anyway, I'm waffling. According to the Southend Echo, local incredibly well informed rumour and all the barbers in the town Phil Brown is very very close to signing a CM and hopefully a CB (cos our two are a bit old and a bit injured a lot). The relevant bit is the CM one. If that happens this week, and it probably will, then the next logical step in the linear chain is what happens to Lenny. There you go, another 6 lines of maybe waffle to enrich this never ending thread. By the way, we need a CB far more than a new CM, so that may be an omen.

CB as cover or do you not have faith in Turner & Ferdinand?

Personally I can see them 2 doing well for you, yes they might be knocking on a bit, and neither's the quickest, but I can't imagine many better CB pairings in league 1.

Or it might happen the other way around, as soon as we sign Leonard (If we do), you then sign your new CM

Apart from the fact that Turner has tf'd his hamstring after just one friendly. It's looking very much like we are getting Rob Kiernan as a CB from Rangers, he'll do for me as a replacement and only 26.

It's ok we once turned bids down for a player and made out he was going nowhere then when the club said ok we'll move on we chased them to put a bid back in.

The player had sunstroke as well so it must have been a tricky time all round for him.
