If you weren't a footballer, what do you think you'd be? A postman or roofer. Anything working outside

Anyone else remember 'Focus On....' in Shoot?
How else do you think a generation learned what "miscellaneous" meant?

That was my Achilles heel in reading tests. I couldn't get around it not being pronounced 'Mischelnious'. That and Egypt, which I always thought was pronounced 'Eggy-tuppy'. In fact I still call it Eggytuppy to this day. As in "Hello librarian. I'm looking for a book on the ancient Eggytupians. Yes, that's right, the Eggytupians. You know, they built the permyads, those big triangular things". 😆

Have the feeling that I know him as I saw a bit of the cup tie at Wendy.
I was right about him being left footed so maybe I am thinking about the same guy.
I have the impression I was impressed with him going forward
AGAINST a weakened team of THE WORST TEAM in 2nd division history
but that he was basically doing so from a left sided position (no 10 in a 2-3-5))
AS HE SHOULD BE PLAYED
Either wide or as a 10 type
ie sub for Chong as a left sided attacker
or Hamer as a no 10 but sadly much more likely to be Wilders mate floorboards OHare
(Please Soton, just please!)

But I said this time last year with Barry
I DO NOT WANT HIM HERE TO PLAY AS A (NON TACKLING!) INVERTED WINGER!
IT WILL BE A TOTAL DISASTER
AS WAS BARRY
Not everyone is a Blackman of Blackburn was here
Or a valid right winger as Saka despite being left footed
IT IS THE EXCEPTION THAT PROVES THE RULE
Not the fashion or 'the emperors new clothes'

The Village idiot on RS tonight says he is going to be wide right in place of Brooks.
FFS
It's going to be like going from TC to Mick Heaton!
But with no guarantee of 100% effort 100% of the time

I don't think if Sereki is still here and not replaced in the team short term by some 30yo Wilder Journeyman
he will get any of the defensive support Brooks offers as an experienced genuine midfielder.
Sereki will be as isolated on the right as McCallum and Burrows are on the left.
It will be like Gilchrist and Jesurun who I can only remember making one defensive contribution when an opponent cut inside and he got a massive left boot in the way.
But Gilchrist was always at the back as he was not quick, could not dribble or pass water

Imagine Brooks attacking down the left with any decent left sided player against Seriki on his own
When he (Sereki) is also supposed to be the teams main byline crosser

Going to be down the right (and left) like Syd Peck as the sole mid fielder was last season under Selles.
