Singing at the Lane is not something new . I learned a song on my Grandad's knee, to the tune of Roll Along Covered Waggon . Written 1934 by Jimmy Kennedy. who also wrote the Teddy Bears Picnic

Sorry if this bores you but it was adapted by the Blades of the time and went like this

Roll along Sheffield United roll along
Put the ball in the net where it belongs
When.```` . Sharpie gets the ball it's sure to be a goal
Roll along Sheffield United Roll along

Retires to old farts chair . UTB . WELL DONE YOU BLADES

And they did it without the c or f bomb or having coitus with your loved ones. All supporters in collar, tie and flat cap with a wooden rattle painted red and white, a packet of woodbine and a rolled up newspaper. Bless em, Blades one and all.

They used to have one on one fist fights on the concourse at half time, though and the smoke from the Capstan Untipped caused problems for those with scurvy and no muffler.

Good to see someone took to the humour pills over the weekend :)

It's a popular song in certain parts of Ireland. Albeit with very different lyrics :)

Take them daily. Trouble is the bollocks I often read on here nullifies them. :(

I'm at my best first thing in the morning :)

Yes the shit of the day does tend to make me operate better early on.

The bells the bells don't forget the bells
