Robson recently acquired defender Gary Cahill on loan from Aston Villa and is hoping to make another addition to his squad soon.
The former West Brom boss told the club's website: "We've got Cahill and I would have liked one more decent phonecall but its not arrived yet. I'd like to add another player to join us until Christmas and if I get him it will give us nice balance."
Brazilian Ze Maria looks the most likely to join following his trial with the club but the Blades boss admitted there is complications.
"We are still in negotiations, his agents have not got back to us.
