Bryan Robson is continuing to work hard to re-inforce his squad after losing Nick Montgomery to injury.
The sales of Mikele Leigertwood and Ahmed Fathi has left the Blades boss short of midfield cover but he continues to scout for new talent.
"Even before Mikele went to QPR I wanted to bring in another defensive midfielder. I was scouring the country before the deadline for a signing and I'm doing the same now looking for loan players, but people don't want players to leave their squad," said Robson.
"We are light in midfield but I've seen Fathi and didn't think his football suited the Championship, that's why the money we got offered was a good deal."
He added: "I would like to improve the squad but the players have got to be out there and it is a difficult market at the moment.
"Even if Nick Montgomery was fit, I'd still want a challenger for that defensive midfield position and I'm working on it."
