As per the very first post on this thread……Rob Staton is a 100% Wednesday fan!!!! No hiding & BBC Radio Sheffield have allowed him to turn their sports coverage into Beggars FC Radio this season! It’s a joke!
There was never any secret about it, and he was a regular PT poster under his own name before starting at RS.

In the old PT parlance, this thread is a bit "Pope's dead".

I quite like his commentary on Blades games but from the snippets posted on here of what he says both online and on radio he really needs to put some critical thinking and statistical based reasoning into his comments when it comes to the current plight of the pigs.

He seems incapable of doing so and will therefore be derided by fans of other local clubs. Then when he doesn’t like it he’ll either put the phone down or block people. All a bit pathetic really.

He needs to realise that the pig fans were lauding Chansiri for throwing money at things early doors, now they’re seeing the downside of that and can’t seem to accept that they’re getting their comeuppance.

FH Team should at least be required to use the stats/facts around this issue. None of them back up the woe is Wednesday narrative so they aren't included in the debate. When someone spins a narrative when facts are available you know they're bullshitting. We know they're aware of the facts and are deliberately ignoring them as they are regularly posted on here and social media. They're not even allowing a counterpoint allowed so it's really boring. The listeners are being gaslit.
Surely there is a point where you can’t just give Wednesday and their manager a free pass and dismiss it as “he’s doing as well as he can in the circumstances”.

Surely occasionally they could say “the circumstances are what they are. Now, are Wednesday doing what they can?”

Given the constant narrative coming out of Hillsborough on player welfare concerns, why not raise this?:

Out of 95 possibly sub opportunities, 5 per game, Chris Wilder has used subs 94 times.

Out of 125 possible sub opportunities, Henrick Pedersen has used subs 86 times.

Why, when player welfare is being sighted as the major issue, are they not using the in game opportunities to manage minutes like across the city?

99% vs 69%.

Why when sighting reliance on young kids are they not even in the top 6 for average age of the XI?

How come when you list out the appearances for Wednesday, there are 16 players with more minutes than the first Wednesday teenager if they are “ruining young players”?

It’s a false narrative and even if you buy into it, they are doing nowhere near enough to keep their players fresh.

Great stats,and we'll spotted/worked out Champagne, excellent! 👍👍👍

They're not the first team this has happened to - Bury, Macclesfield etc. even bigger clubs like Glasgow Rangers and Fiorentina have ended up bankrupt.

They didn't care about the other clubs going bust - "we'll have a party when Derby County die" - what did Derby ever do to them to create such hatred?

Now it's happened to them - "Woe is me!"

For the record, I think the FH team does a fantastic job overall. Andy, Rob and Adam are all terrific commentators, interviewers and presenters, who know their subject inside out. And they clearly have an excellent production unit behind them.

We are lucky to have such wonderful coverage in this area and we would miss it should it ever go or be paired back.

However on the issue of Wednesday and their perceived "punishment" I really do think they have developed a blind spot, and have fallen into the victim mindset.

Great statistics there Champagne

Can you tell me how come Wilder has had 95 possible sub opportunities and yet Pederson has had 125 sub opportunities?
That seems to represent they've had 5 more games than us - unless I'm missing something?

Cheers.

He was in charge for the first 5 league games of the season?

My comment was Wilder rather than United and there was this bloke calls Sellés that we’ve all tried to erase!
