Not the issue to me, it’s more him acting the smart arse. He’s a decent commentatorEverybody who likes football has at some point had affiliations to a certain club.
UNBELIEVABLE!
The even produced a CD with clips on it. I think I still have it somewhere.
As per the very first post on this thread……Rob Staton is a 100% Wednesday fan!!!! No hiding & BBC Radio Sheffield have allowed him to turn their sports coverage into Beggars FC Radio this season! It’s a joke!
There was never any secret about it, and he was a regular PT poster under his own name before starting at RS.
In the old PT parlance, this thread is a bit "Pope's dead".
‘My voice has gone, I DON’T CARE!’Some of the best blades commentaries ever, especially the Warnock era![]()
what radio sheffield should have done years ago is split the show half hour for each clubs fans to phone in staton for pigs half hour and a united presenter for our half hour
Surely there is a point where you can’t just give Wednesday and their manager a free pass and dismiss it as “he’s doing as well as he can in the circumstances”.FH Team should at least be required to use the stats/facts around this issue. None of them back up the woe is Wednesday narrative so they aren't included in the debate. When someone spins a narrative when facts are available you know they're bullshitting. We know they're aware of the facts and are deliberately ignoring them as they are regularly posted on here and social media. They're not even allowing a counterpoint allowed so it's really boring. The listeners are being gaslit.
Great stats, and we'll spotted/worked out Champagne, excellent!Surely there is a point where you can’t just give Wednesday and their manager a free pass and dismiss it as “he’s doing as well as he can in the circumstances”.
Surely occasionally they could say “the circumstances are what they are. Now, are Wednesday doing what they can?”
Given the constant narrative coming out of Hillsborough on player welfare concerns, why not raise this?:
Out of 95 possibly sub opportunities, 5 per game, Chris Wilder has used subs 94 times.
Out of 125 possible sub opportunities, Henrick Pedersen has used subs 86 times.
Why, when player welfare is being sighted as the major issue, are they not using the in game opportunities to manage minutes like across the city?
99% vs 69%.
Why when sighting reliance on young kids are they not even in the top 6 for average age of the XI?
How come when you list out the appearances for Wednesday, there are 16 players with more minutes than the first Wednesday teenager if they are “ruining young players”?
It’s a false narrative and even if you buy into it, they are doing nowhere near enough to keep their players fresh.
I had this and me and my mate as young lads would sit on the coach to away games listening to it and just smiling, it was fantastic.
He's so ruddy ruddy brave.Needless to say, Rob had the last laugh.
Is being. OR. Has been. Their, not there. Take some more mild abuse Radio Fallowfield.Think everyone is been a tad harsh on the FH Team
As someone who regularly gets dogs abuse I would advise them to keep there chin up

He was in charge for the first 5 league games of the season?Great statistics there Champagne
Can you tell me how come Wilder has had 95 possible sub opportunities and yet Pederson has had 125 sub opportunities?
That seems to represent they've had 5 more games than us - unless I'm missing something?
Cheers.
My comment was Wilder rather than United and there was this bloke calls Sellés that we’ve all tried to erase!Great statistics there Champagne
