Didn’t know Harold Wilson was either.
Together they will defeat the world!

Foo kinell Ben Woodbourn in the squad. What’s he ever done?
Still dining out on that goal he scored v Austria 3 years ago.

I am not shelling out for the letters to have Norrington-Davies on my shirt. Just don't have that kind of cash.
Might compromise at No-Dav

Barrow supporting friend singing his praises again today, he played for them a couple of seasons ago. She said that it is not surprising he is in the Wales squad.

feel we are gonna have great lwb options next season, great to have brilliant squad depth in one area of the team

As with all the Welsh internationals, anyone with iPlayer can stream it live off S4C (with Welsh comms) if they want to watch RND and Ampadu starting.

Did you read the Luton fans views from Roy? They absolutely love him.

Looks a real talent with a great engine and very comfortable at LWB. Could see him starting for us there next season

Excellent debut from RND tonight, decent eye for a pass, quick, invisible to Matondo. Games a bit Sunday league but entertaining watch.

Towards the end delightfully shielded the ball out and sent the Bulgarian player into the railings.

A very solid if not spectacular debut for him. A lot of safe passes, he’s not tried anything too tricky but hasn’t really conceded possession either. He’s grown into it. Really tried to get forward, and had one glorious chance that he badly hit off target. Have been impressed with him aerially – there’s been a few instances where he’s been deliberately sent the ball to head on out wide and has done so successfully. Clearly valued in that regard too as he’s always been in the box at attacking set pieces rather than hanging back at the halfway line.

Great finish from Jonny Williams apart though, it was a niggly forgettable game. And in that regard a very good win.

Where did Ampadu play & how did he get on?

Midfield, sitting with Smith. He was generally steady, though his one moment of note involved a bad backpass to Wayne Hennessey that he stretched to unsuccessfully try and stop a corner. Hennessey was forced off injured after pulling a muscle in the attempt.

My observation of watching him in midfield is that he actually doesn't make himself available for receiving the ball as much as he should.
Can be a bit pedestrian directing play, rather than forcing himself into involvement.
He does tend to have brain freezes like the one you reference above too.

On the plus side, for a 19 year old he's very assured, not afraid of getting stuck in & definitely has good quality on the ball. Has the makings of a player, just unsure that he's ready to consistently step into the Egan, or Norwood role at PL level yet.
From what I've seen of him, the safest place in our team for him to play would be RCB but he's not dislodging Basham.

He's too good of a player to not start over Jack Robinson though, regardless of the right foot / left foot balance.
So if we don't bring in a replacement for O'Connell then he slots in there for now.

I think next season will be the enda enda.

Lowe and RND will compete for that slot you’d think.

Will RND be under 21 too? So we’d be able to have another striker in the 25 maybe.
Is 21 now and will be 22 before next season starts.

I thought he was black until googling him just now.

Shows what i know. No idea why i thought that.

Funny you say that I thought the same until I googled him sometime last season. Had him down as looking like Nathan Dyer for no reason whatsoever.
