Did RND ever pass his bronze swimming certificate and become RND BSC before he started playing for us as a LWB, where he gave up eating KFC after eating so many that he needed an ECG. Also, was his debut on ITV or was it on the BBC?

This guy is making me eat humble pie ! I didn’t rate him at all ! He’s been in top 5 best players since this season has started! Last 2 or 3 games in particularly he’s been imense

I think our defence has now found the right balance, and this to me looks comfortably our strongest back "5". He's still a threat going forward, but his extra pace on the usual CB allows for Lowe to charge forward at every opportunity. And reflected on the other side, Anel and Baldock are in a similar position on the right hand side. It's the balance we've struggled for since O'Connells injury

RND and Ndiaye off the ball are ridiculous and have always been that way. If you didn't see that last season visit specsavers👓. What you do off the ball IS a technical skill, one RND is brilliant at. The stick this kid took last season was ridiculous. 😍 RND.

Hes got stronger since last season and his positional awareness has improved out of sight.

I think some of the criticism he received last year was fair, but hes still young and improving each season, long may it continue.

He's always been a warrior but now he's added some maturity to the defensive side of his game and his attacking output has improved as well. MOTM today and fast becoming one of our most important players.
He is a warrior.

He's just a massive, massive competitor who never gives an inch and covers every blade of grass. His fitness levels are off the scale.

Glad we've got him and glad we persevered with him.

Yeah he’s relentless and he’s a bit of a dirty bastard, too. Leaves a little bit in every tackle and sees it as part of his job to rough up their attackers a bit. The maturity he’s added to his game is keeping it the right side of the line. He must be an absolute nightmare to play against.

What I liked about RND straight away was how high and wide he'd stay as a wingback. Despite not being blessed with unbelievable pace he had the bollocks to push the other player back and stretch the pitch until an overload comes. I love GB but the latter is a problem for him.Where RND needs to improve is his passing interchanges and knowing when to make that final burst to the bye line.

The one thing we've lacked since the second PL season has been athleticism. With RND, Doyle, Anel, Ndiaye - we're starting to look a lot more mobile, agile and up for a physical contest!

Well done to Hecky for addressing this weakness!

RND doesn’t have the technical ability to play any higher than lower end Championship, and I don’t think he can do that very well.

Being young(ish) and trying hard will not and cannot make up for the lack of quality which can’t be masked any longer than a couple of games tops.

Good luck to the lad but if we want to compete at the top end of this division we need a lot better.

OK so I was totally wrong, he’s now consistently one of our best players. He‘s got a terrific engine on him and his quality in the final third has massively improved. Well done Rhys!

What a transformation by RND since Forest away in the play offs. Looks an early contender for player of the season for us if he can stay fit touch wood.

He’s improved as a defender, his pace is underrated and his end product is getting better all the time. I feel sorry for the lad that he hasn’t got more assists to his name - his cross to Berge tonight was perfect.

And yes I know, I was the original thread starter and I’ll admit I was harsh on RND. I’ll also maintain his progress has been an unexpected revelation. He’s becoming a very valuable player for us.
