RND NGE

If RND was 28, a loan signing from wherever, we’d be saying he was garbage. Error prone and garbage in the final third. He makes Furious George look like Ronaldo. Get Enda back for some much needed perspective.
Enda's legs have got, and Max Lowe has worked out. RND has a great engine, and can tackle, and is the future, get behind him FFS.

He's not a 28 year old loan signing. He's a 22 year old product of our academy in his 2nd full season at this level. How's that for perspective?

Overall he's been a 6 out of 10 for me but has time on his side and has been playing next to Jack Robinson for most of the season. We also don't have a better option on the books at left back until Stevens gets back to full fitness. Not every youngster will come racing out of the blocks like a Brooks or Ndiaye. Both our academy and the Welsh national side have seen promise in him, give him chance FFS!

Firstly, he is a young lad learning his trade.
Secondly, he is playing next to one of the worst CB's we have had in years.
Thirdly, Stevens is not fit and in my opinion RND is better than Stevens was last season.

Hate this kind of shit, why do we all need to hate one of our starting 11!

Fair comments mate. All I'd add about Enda is that he went from being one of the best defenders I can recall in a Blade's shirt to being a limp imitation of a quality player. No idea why things went so drastically wrong for Enda but if he could get his mojo back we'd have someone that we'd all recognise as a quality player.

In the meantime we have to rely on what we have, and in the place of Stevens we have young players who we expect to play at a high level while learning their trade.......big ask? You betcha. I'm not suggesting that age should make a player exempt from criticism, but as is our way, there's often no middle ground with our supporters, you're either a 7-8 out of 10 or you're a 4 out of 10 at best.

There was always a lot of talk about him being a potential successor to O'Connell as well as Stevens.

I'd much rather him be given a go at left centre back than Robinson. Now Robinson did well VA Fulham, but he has always got a rick in him that leads to something. Plus he's at an age where he isn't likely to improve. Norrington-Davies still has age on his side.

We hope Davies is back but I'd move Norrington-Davies up in the pecking order plus he's a more adventurous full back too. Gives us the option to overlap if we want to do this at times.

Definitely played himself into the side for me. LCB if Davies isn't available, LWB if he is.

Was odd that he was specifically called out and written off at the beginning of the season, despite (a) most of the team being crap and (b) still being young and relatively inexperienced.

Needs a run in the side for me. Let's see how develops from now until the end of the season.

Thought he did well today in difficult circumstances, as did most of the team tbf. Beaten by a better side (scoreline flattered them) but we competed and got good minutes into boots. And Hecky will know more about the players he has and what he sees for them long term. FA Cup came just at the right time for us and RND was a big plus for me.

He was repeatedly average at best tbf. There remained (remains?) some hope that Enda would return to something like his best, but RND deserves another crack now.

He was average at best, but all the others in the side were average at best.

Enda has been average for about 5 games in nearly 2 years.

They all deserve a crack, but my point is that RND seemed to get the brunt of the heat for his average performances.

His best performance for us today, up and down, strong in the tackle, and 2 quality crosses Didsy should have buried.
Consistency the key now, Steven's still ahead of him for me, but today was a really strong performance from RND.

I like Reece I think he has good potential but he really needs to stop ball watching. He gets caught out loads in behind him losing his man.

And for the rest of them 2 years, Stevens has been absolutely embarrassing

I am not that convinced by RND.

He gets caught out a bit and turns the ball over far too often for my liking. Hopefully he will get better.
Feel the same, but I think we forget he's still young. Plenty of time for improvement. He's done well to come through the academy and forge a spot in the first team after a couple of loan spells away

Still a young lad with time on his side. He’s the type of academy product that we might be able to keep hold of long term if we stay in the championship bit like Quinn and Lowton solid player but without the standout attribute which prem teams take punts on

His final ball needs some serious work a bit like Baldock very frustrating when he gets into a crossing position. Needs to react quicker and get his head up. Other than that I can see some progress

enda will be moved on this summer imo but like rnd and think he can only get better with more games under his belt could even make a very good lcb

Looks like a good solid left back, but maybe slightly lacking to do the LWB role. Needless to say he is committed and puts in effort, and doesn't shy away from showing as an option for the ball.

Under our Boards 'New Strategy' its going to be players like RND that make up a large chunk of the team.

If as a championship team you can have the bulk of your squad be players like RND with a sprinkling of additional quality you won’t go far wrong. You won’t be dominating the division but you’ll win more than you lose and be pretty solid
