Such sad news this. Wafer was so funny and such a great bloke. Total Blade through and through. Wafe and Ronnie Sharpe created most of the songs we sing today.

Another one just getting into the Shoreham in the sky pre match kick off.

Be plenty of good uns in there too. Bet they are making a right racket. Wonder if Needham or Hagan is the team skipper? Woody on the wing with maybe Hockey in there too. Harry Johnson up front with maybe Ringstead or Tunstall on the other wing. Some team, some backing.

Make sure the ground is big enough for us all when we we get there ourselves. I can have a pre match gargle too with my grandad and great grandparent who were Blades too. RIP fellow Bladesman.

I was really sad to hear about Wafer (Owen) travelled to many a hostile ground mid week with him in the late 70's early 80's . Funny, irreverent with a taste for the green stuff. We are having a bit of a drink in his memory this afternoon after the friendly at the Sheaf around 2 o'clock everyone welcome should be some good old faces there from way back when .
