RIP Blade. I lost my best mate at the age of 43 far too early to go. His death was totally unexpected caused by a sudden brain embolism. In his teens he turned up at my house with a huge egg on his head after a motor bike accident caused by striking his head on the bumper of an HGV when he slid under it. Always wondered if that old injury contributed. He was a Blade and went with me to many matches in our teens.

News like this confirms that health is more important than football and puts into perspective owners and managers falling out. Thoughts with our current player Phil Jagielka and his family.
