RIP Martyn gentlemen and top Blade, hope the Lane gives you and Hodgy a rousing farewell on Sunday.

RIP Martyn. ..Only had the pleasure of chatting to him once. Didnt know him but recognised him when bumped into him in Italy. So had a chat..as you do..The little anecdote I remember was the story he told of him presenting Chris Woods with something (presumably photowise). Anyway, as he shook his hand, and the photo was taken (not by Martyn on this occasion!), unbeknown to Woods, Martyn 's jacket conveniently fell open to reveal just enough of his "If Woods can play for England, so can I" t shirt......There's some good 'uns left us this year...RIP and UTB

What a lovely bloke, and like everyone has already said, 100% Sheffield United.

The last time I saw him was when I'd blagged my way into the press conference to announce the appointment of Nigel Adkins where he insisted on introducing me to Adkins with the words, "Nigel, this bloke hitchhikes to every Sheffield United game." I had to correct him a bit by saying the Megabus plays its part sometimes, but still...

I thanked him profusely at the time of this photo, but I'll do it again here, for allowing Charlie Webster to get close to my beloved long-serving hitchhiking sign:

Met him lots of times at different grounds. Always a chat about the Blades (quite fancy us to win this one) followed by a discussion about the weather and how terrible the light was and how difficult it would be getting decent shots today. In all the years I saw him and had a little chat, the light was never right :)

Proper Blade, proper gent, proper loss. RIP Martyn, those sodding Blades never did give you the Wembley win you so richly deserved!

What a terrible year!

Rip Martin, an ever present wherever we went, will be sadly missed..

RIP Martyn. Condolences to all family and friends. I have never known a year in which we have lost so many of those who represent all that is great about SUFC.

Like many didn't know him personally but so much of his work brought so many smiles to our faces
RIP Baldy

I hope tomorrow has better news. RIP big man

Remember chatting to him at half-time at Tranmere, the Monty wonder goal game. Asked him if he'd got a good picture of the goal, just laughed and said he'd managed to miss it!

RIP Martyn, top Blade

Another good guy taken from us far too early, sincere condolences to all his family and friends.

God bless Martyn.

Another top blade gone but not forgotten .he will live on in his fantastic photography .r.i.p Martyn
