I'm very sorry to hear it. Ian Mackenzie, as others have said, was a decent defender who never quite established himself in the side but he had some tough competition at the time.
He certainly wasn't one of those players where you'd groan if you heard that he was playing.
He was good in the air. I remember seeing a photo of him actually heading that goal against Cardiff and he really got up for it although as I recall he was completely unmarked. We were really out of sorts that day.
