RIP Gemma. Never knew her personally. She went to my junior school and ive seen at matches as far back as i remember.

Appeared to be a proper fanatic.

I know a lot of people have had much to say about Jim Phipps and I have seen a few abusive comments about him on here.

Gemma was taken into hospital ahead of a game earlier in the season and Andrew was at the Lane in the afternoon trying to sort out a ticket for the game as he normally went as Gemma's carer. Jim heard about this and immediately invited him to the game as his guest with a meal in the Director box and a ticket in the Directors box for the game. I really take my hat off to Jim for that.

Andrew worshipped Gemma and you can never go past a 30 second conversation with him without him mentioning her.

RIP Gemma :( it has been a bad few years for losing well known and respected blades fans.

I met Gem a few times but have known her fella Gibbo for a good few years and after hearing that she has been really going through it over recent weeks, I was really saddened to hear of her sudden passing.

Gibbo is a good lad and they were absolutely devoted to one and other as well as Sheffield United. The couple were a feature at pretty much every Blades game and for this reason are well known within the Blades family.

Over the last week or so a Just Giving page was set up in hope of raising urgent funds to enable Gem and Gibbo to get married. Don't quote me on it but those who have donated so far seem to be asking for the donations to remain and that all of the money raised could instead go towards some sort of memorial fund in Gem's honour. I will keep an eye on this via facebook and if so I will ask Gibbo if I can post the link on here for you guys should you be interested.

I hope it is not an inappropriate thought, but could someone post a picture of Gemma to help those of us who probably might recognise her, but didn't actually make her acquaintance.

HH

As a few people have mentioned on here, 2015 has been an awful year in which we have lost some wonderful Blades supporters.
This latest piece of news is very sad and my thoughts and condolences go out to Gemma's partner and her family and friends.

God bless you Gemma.
