Heartbroken Minder was and still is TV Gold. I have a 33 disc dvd set of every episode ever made so can watch them at my leisure but I still watch them on ITV4. I even get face on when they aren't shown at tea time. One of your own God bless you Terry he must have heard Arfur getting some agg in The Winchester in the sky. Make sure you give Ronnie Rycott the runaround. Lets see plenty of claret, rough justice and swift retribution Tel 👊😪🌠

And I've got the full DVD set of all the Sweeney, classic TV.

RIP (and it's around 20 years now since John Thaw passed as well :( )

I see Billy Bremner in that team picture. Always remember the punch up he had with Kevin Keegan and also when Kev fell off his bike in Superstars.

We laughed our heads-off and got stitch.

I don’t want to talk bad if the dead but he was, to quote his wife “a drunken wife beater”. Something he admitted but only cos he’d had too much to drink and “couldn’t get a word in edgeways”.

Let’s not remember him too fondly through those rose tinted glasses

We don't have to look far to find those types within our ranks.

But don't mention it. It upsets some to point it out when it's our own.

On his acting ability, he's what swine cottage is to football stadiums. Awful.
Why is this even on here.. Was he a fullem fan?

Kenworthy's testimonial was in May 1986. Currie guested for us, received a hero's welcome and greeted with chants of "Tony, be our manager, doo-dah". Currie's testimonial was in the autumn of 1986, was the star-studded affair from which Silent's picture is taken and yes, The Housemartins played. I didn't know about Black Lace but it's conceivable they played too. Currie's testimonial was attended by 18,500 when we were only getting about 9,000 in the league. Kudos to Silent for tenuously getting the death of Dennis Waterman into General Blades Chat.

Beating drunken wives is always wrong.

RIP Dennis absolute joy to watch involved in two of the three most iconic programs on TV ever. Only Fools and Horses being the third

Unless it's at strip poker. ;)

But if it's your wife, why would you be playing strip poker, I dunno? Connect 4 then, or Operation...... or Raving Bonkers.....

Subbuteo!
