Heartbroken Minder was and still is TV Gold. I have a 33 disc dvd set of every episode ever made so can watch them at my leisure but I still watch them on ITV4. I even get face on when they aren't shown at tea time. One of your own God bless you Terry he must have heard Arfur getting some agg in The Winchester in the sky. Make sure you give Ronnie Rycott the runaround. Lets see plenty of claret, rough justice and swift retribution Tel 👊😪🌠

Even the intro music sends me back to happy days. Loved the programme.

As a young(er) viewer, my first memory of Dennis Waterman is from when he presented and provided the voice over for the Match of the 60s / 70s series.

Was this the game that black lace and the Housemartins performed at silent?

I guess TC only had one testimonial. Good times.
Yea it was, it even appeared in Smash Hits magazine as they were doing a feature on the Housemartins. There were a few good behind the scenes pictures in the mag but my copy has long since gone.

I remember Housemartins playing. They dedicated a song to the BBC. Different times!

I'm just not sure who's testimonial that was.

TC's, I found the programme I bought that day, in the loft and posted a picture of it on this forum, I think last year or the year before.

Quick Google search found it.

Don’t let the photo of the whole band at BL fool you.

I once went to see the housemartins at the octagon Ona Saturday night after a home game and bumped into Hugh Whitaker who was wandering around the venue before the gig.

I excitedly asked him whether he had been to the game and he said ‘no, only Paul cares about football’.

RIP Dennis.
Loved him in Minder, but in New Tricks him and Amanda Redman just bounced off each other so well.
RIP Dennis hope you knew Fulham went up as champions.
