Hopefully Southend. Fuck helping Karl Robinson (at Oxford) any further.

This could mean another attacking midfielder is coming in, but probably not.

It would certainly clear the way for Woodburn.

Pity.

And I must admit, I tend to find a loan pointless. Unless it's to a club in our division. Or if we're getting a good fee I suppose.

Didnt really see this coming as he's featured a fair bit in pre-season and to be fair at Donny he was all over the place!

Oxford is the one I've seen most linked as I have put 1 minute to late. On the other thread

Not surprised. Woodburn in, Holmes out.

I expect Lafferty to go if we get that lad in from Man City and Lavery when we sign a striker.

Absolute waste of money if we get rid now on loan. Try and get something recouped for him or keep him here

Hopefully if he goes it might open up the way for freeman or similar?? With Woodburn as a striker?

Why would it be a waste of money? Surely another club paying his wages is preferable to him staying here.

We paid a chunky fee for him - be best imo to get him off the wage bill and try and get some of the outlay back imo....

Either that or actually try and get something out of him. His value will decline as he gets a year older and a year less left on his contract. He’s a depreciating asset we either use or should get rid of imo

If he’s not good enough now why would we want him back next year?

Who's going to pay a fee for him?

I disagree. Never loan a player to a team in the same division.

I'm looking forward to Rhodes scoring more than all the pigs players whilst helping Norwich to a higher finish

This wouldn’t be a surprise. With Woodburn now in and Duffy going nowhere, his chances will be significantly limited.

If nowt else, without another striker in, he could prove particularly useful up top.

To all those moaning about a loan, I'm sure Wilder would sell him if he could. And since we can't do that, and given he won't be making an impact on the team, it's better to loan him out to get him off our wage bill (as best we can) and get him some playing time.

Made little impact when played and the fact he's had little opportunity despite Wilder chasing him for so long, tells a story for me.

I just worry Leonard may go the same way based on what I've seen so far. He at least needs to get up to the speed of the Championship. Looked slow to everything last season to me.

Have to wonder if we could push for a sale if we have multiple clubs after him. Personally would keep him around until January.

Can’t sell him whilst his stock is low. Let him build his rep back and sell him in January

reading some of those comments on here makes me ask if some of you actually want to get out of this division.
he didn't play when signed because he wasn't good enough. If he was remotely good enough Wilder would play him - he hasn't and won't this season either.
we need quality players not quantity - Wilder keeps telling everyone - are some of our fans not listening?

UTB

Was a bit of a gamble to see if he could step up another level. Seems a good sort who works hard but ultimately a bit short of quality to make an impression here - no hard feelings with this one, just shift him on if we can.

I'd pay to see him score the winner at the sty!!!
