The picture in the copthorne he has a suit bag in his hand, did he get changed. Someone on Twitter said he was in directors box
 
Hopefully we sign him because Holmes and Brooks in the same team gives us the unpredictability and game winning quality we need. Especially at home where teams are getting away with extremely defensive performances, mainly because of our inability to break them down. Duffy is class but he needs competition so we can demand consistency. I think this is a starting 11 (with quality on the bench) that can get into the playoffs.

That’s the Fitness coach. I imagine he helped conduct the medical.

Although that doesn’t explain why he was with him in the hotel before kick off
 

We could have done with a midfielder who could have got a shot on target from outside the box tonight, Lundstrum was guilty of missing the target on two occasions.

It's something we need to do when teams play with ten men behind the ball and try to nullify our wing backs, leaving space though the centre. Lots of times the ball was played across the box, maybe 20 yds out but instead of anyone getting a shot in, it was invariably passed out to the other wing. I suppose, at least Lundstrum had a pop even if his technique was poor.
 
I'm gonna use my investigative skills here.

Yesterday Robinson was quoted saying "“But what I won’t do is sell the player just for money. I’m sticking to my guns on that. I’d need a replacement immediately and then we’ll want to use the money to strengthen the squad. "

Holmes obviously hasn't traveled to their game tomorrow - 13/01/18

Carruthers + 200-300k for Holmes on?

I therefor conclude, we are signing him as our 3rd choice Keeper.

That’s not in Sheffield, the one in the hotel is though and he was in the directors box.
 
Must be pretty close if he's having a shandy and Charlton have a game tomorrow. Don't mess about do they Wilder and Knill, potentially 4 in in under 2 weeks.

Carruthers would do well at Charlton I think if that is the deal.

I predicted this would happen before the transfer window opened. To be honest, it was pretty obvious. Robinson has openly admired Carruthers and worked with him at MKD. Wilder has openly admired Holmes and worked with him at Northampton Town. Carruthers just hasn't fit in at United. Holmes has fit in well at Charlton but they aren't pulling many trees up and their owner wants to sell up so the future is uncertain. Karl loves Sammy, Chris loves Ricky. It's a bit like wife-swapping, only with players.
