Absolutely. Wilder knows the lad and what he can do inside out. If Chris and our scouting team want the lad then we should all be hoping that we can get him.

From what I've see of him, he looks a very talented player and is skilful rather than just having to use his pace.

He's also only 30 for crying out loud, hardly over the hill is he. We could get him in a d if he looked after himself he could still be doing it in 5 years time.

Id love to see Utd get the lad.
 
Seems to me that it'll happen, with Carruthers going the other way. But not before tomorrow's game.

Holmes is about 5 foot 9 by the way.
 
think there is deffo a bit of needle between Robinson and wilder.

They clearly don’t like each other. Suspect that’s why Robinson’s coming out with stupid comments

He looks about 5'6" in that picture a scruffy fella, his appearance looks more suited to the other side of the city
 
Just to be pedantic...

Duffy isn't a No. 10 (second striker), he's a No. 8 (attacking midfielder).

A No. 10 is more your Tony Agana, Teddy Sheringham type--gets goals but also plays a creative role. Brooks has tended to play this role when he's come on as sub, replacing Sharp, but he's also played in the deeper, Duffy-type role. He can do both but for my money he's never looked very convincing in the latter position--he doesn't have the defensive nous that Duffy has. Remember Wednesday's second goal in the derby in September.

Holmes, like Duffy, has played a large part of his career as winger but seems suited for the central attacking mid No. 8 role. I imagine that means he's being brought in to compete with Duffy and also to give us the option of going to a 4-4-2 when the need arises.

Nothing indicates that Holmes is being brought in to play No. 10 (second striker), and therefore I don't see anything to suggest he's a replacement for Brooks.

He's 5'8, loads of sites changed it as a joke for some unknown reason.

Think he means the intentions of his owner who he is at war with at the moment as he's not releasing any money for transfers due to him trying to sell the club. Very interesting article as the rhetoric has now changed from not selling to need to sort out the future of Holmes. Listening to CW to-day on Radio Pig he confirms we are in for Holmes and the No. 10 position is where we need cover. An offer plus Carruthers would seem to be where we are going.
 
Well, I for one thought that Holmes was pretty good at BDTBL last year, scored from a set piece and had some pace, bounced one off the cross bar as well, from memory.
 

He's technically a very good player now, won't cost a fortune and is likely to still be technically a very good player in several years time.

We miss a quality back up for Duffy, and we miss a dead ball specialist. It makes a lot of sense.

As much as I'd love someone like Erhun Oztumer at our club, I'll admit that this guy is more likely to be an immediate success.
