Long term sufferer - Ever optimist
It looks like Coventry will be going with interim boss Rhys Carr against us on Saturday, with a new manager being unveiled by the Sky Blues next week.
Not sure if it is common knowledge amongst blades fans or not, but Carr actually has a little bonus that he worked under Wilder at our very own club.
He was primarily academy based but involved in first team integration Under Wilder from 2019-2021before leaving us to work under Barton at Bristol Rovers.
Thankfully it seems that we have adjusted away from how we were tactically set up back then, but he will no doubt still have a solid idea of certain styles and traits that the CW-AK hierarchy expect from the lads and he will have been tasked into drilling these into the younger lads in preparing them for first team togger.
He only joined Coventry in July, therefore won’t have first hand worked with Hamer and O’Hare thankfully, that will no doubt come from the other coaching staff and the players.
There fore you, probably not a massive advantage but never the less a connection.
