Appreciate - which is why I asked the question. So to follow that up though, does the site also have to ban foul language just in case someone is accessing from a work computer and may see it over someone's shoulder and may get offended? Where do you draw the line? Does Foxy have to put a warning on the site to say it may contain images and language that some people may find offensive? The issue is if you are using equipment that is not your own but could potentially breach the use of that equipment, where do you draw the line? Where does the responsibility lie? Does Foxy have to change his name to Reverend Jim Jones?

In that case can we also ban comments like "Wilder aht" or "we're going down" or just general miserable negative plastic Blades whinging about a team they've followed for 18 months?

I occasionally check this in the company of young relatives and am likely to shout "FOR FUCKS SAKE GET A GRIP" and rather than take personal responsibility for my actions like an adult, I'd rather blame the posts of other folk on here instead. You should all be ashamed, swearing in front of kids like that

Interesting buy Brewster for £7.5m Liverpool £40m buyback.if that is written on the contract.
I have to say get him worth a punt.

Couldn't 'contentious images' only be allowed if they are contained within a spoiler?

Images won't be picked up by work filters and you have the option to open them or not to ;)

At the risk of sounding like a miserable old git - which I am, to be fair - does posting pictures of naked ladies actually add to the conversation? My opinion would be no.

"PHWOOOOOOAARRRRRR...!!!!"

I've been an advocate of that for a long time Charlieblade. Trying to get 2 strikers who complement each other, can almost read each others minds, know where the other one is going to be and play off them. That's exactly what we had with Deane and Agana. I think we've had other very successful partnerships too, like Edwards and Morris. Admittedly Morris wasn't an out an out "striker" but his partnership with Edwards was sublime. I could go back to Woody and Dearden too. (Seems odd mentioning "Woody" without "Currie" in the sentence, but those who were watching at the time will know that Woodward and Dearden paired up magnificently and were usually the 2 leading scorers in that team each season).

But do you know what? I think the game has become more sophisticated now than back then. I'm not doubting the value of having 2 front players who work well together, but it's much more of a squad game now and it's tactically a lot smarter. I think you need a range of options up front. Players with pace. Players who are good in the air and represent an aerial threat. Players who can hold the ball up well and lay it off. Players who take other players on and get around the back of a defence. And not least, players who can be in the right place at the right time and finish the chances off. I think it's hard, if not impossible, to get all those qualities from 2 players. So the idea of having a range of options to deploy, depending on the opposition and how the game is going, is key. And the one thing we're missing at the moment is a player with youth and spontaneity, who can finish off chances. Let's hope that's Brewster if we sign him.
I agree up to a point mate. When a partnership happens, it’s usualy by accident. I’m not sure it’s something that you can plan tactically, but when it happens, it’s really a joy to behold.
Toshack ang Keegan were very good players in their own right, but boy when they hit it off at Liverpool, it was a joy to watch.
Times have probably moved on, but this dinosaur is happy if we can score based on talent and quality finishing from one or more players, regardless of tactics. ;)
