Wilder’s saying it will go down to the wire, how i have interpreted this is that we will not be in for a transfer, but we will keep our interest alive in an attempt to fend off other clubs interested, and then on deadline day secure a loan for Brewster as we will be the only viable option for that move then
Apart from saying it could go down to the wire he sounded very confident we would get a deal done.
Everyone is trying to double guess what's happening, the club wont enlarge at where we're at ! we will have to wait and hopefully Wilder gets his man or men.

Berge point blank told us he wasn't interested last summer, that didn't put us off.

Wilder's been in the game for 36 years and knows that players with a great attitude do the best deal for them. That's why the best players always end up at the best clubs. This kid isn't the only option in town

He wanted to play in the champions league matches, if I recall. I’d guess it would have taken another champs league side (or a bucket of cash) to prise him away last summer.

What’s utterly embarrassing is people like you coming out with shit like this. Let me let you into a tiny little secret that most Blades accept and realise. We are a championship club punching above our weight! We have had a meteoric ride in such a short period and last years exploits haven’t helped. What it’s done is create fuck wits like you who think we should just go out and spend millions and get the club into financial trouble.
why not sit back stop wetting your pants and wait till the window is over,Good grief this lot are embarrassing!

Hobby horse 🐴

Didn’t you say this last week when Nixon said pretty much the same story and Sky reported it before the Palace chairman came out and said it was bollocks?
I’m just wondering if it’s the same sustained period of embarrassment we should be feeling or if it ebbs and flows whenever the same reports are regurgitated each week?
What ever the outcome it’s embarrassing

Informed by that it's a no from me -
+ve
Leaves close marker on the deck (is that a pig ?)
Outstanding turn
Clearly a youngster with time to improve
-ve
Lacking in spatial awareness
Temperament ? - not sure would pass the Wilder character test

Also a worry that some fans will not be supportive / tolerant - already 3 of you's cruel / savage bastards have 'liked' someone sustaining a potentially significant injury

Ok. My point was that just because someone doesn't beg to come to us, it doesn't mean they have a poor attitude.

Ah good to know your criteria.
Even if it’s complete unsubstantiated bollocks, it’s embarrassing for our club.
Just look and think you 🛎🔚

Utterly embarrassing what ever the outcome. CW must be fuming.

We’ve been desperate for a striker for many months as this isn’t something new yet the plotless prince says no.

Lack of ambition yet again or are we really a championship level club punching so just enjoy it whilst it lasts?

It pains but is this reality
Wild, knee jerk, uninformed, disrespectful opinions like yours, are the only embarrassing thing about Sheffield United these days.

wild and knee jerk. look at the table and the fact we have Arsenal/Man City/liverpool in next 4 games. Wake up and smell the coffee young man

We were good today.
Its close to clicking again. We always struggle with Egan or JOC missing, never mind with both.

I'd love 2 or 3 fresh faces but realistically we could be just one signing away from getting this season kicked into gear. Lets hope this this fella and this thread has some good news for us in the next couple of days.
Until then...

The odd thing with Palace is Batshuayi has played 24 minutes in the three PL games they have played so far. What was the point of signing him on loan?

It's a long season and I think they are expecting to lose Zaha. He's probably also not match fit as I doubt he had much of a pre-season with Chelsea.
