Didn’t you say this last week when Nixon said pretty much the same story and Sky reported it before the Palace chairman came out and said it was bollocks?

Another point....is that many Blades are jumping on the bandwagon and building up Brewster some kind of super striker.
Do people realise that at Palace he’ll struggle to play...he’ll be a squad player as back up...

If I was his agent I’d be telling him NOT to come to Bramall Lane due to the unreasonable expectations from our fans.

I predict in his first few games he’ll have a similar start to McBurnie,
Then you’ll have the same Blades criticising Wilder choices and saying it was obvious Brewster was a massive gamble.

McBurnie, Ramsdale and Berger were all around £20m, so we are not scared of paying the money. We like value for money though, and it seems at the moment this deal doesn't represent that. For reasons none of us are aware.

We seem to be crashing around in the market a bit at the moment, which isn't CW's normal way. Perhaps clubs smell our desperation, perhaps journalists are working out who needs a striker and hasn't got one, and are whipping it up.

Whatever it is,this is dragging on (seemingly), so perhaps Brewster will be another one waiting at Midland Station for the train home without leaving the platform....

Agree....Anstonblade1 is a known Owl.
Last year he was constantly saying we’ll never spend 10 million on a player and how we’re certain to be relegated because we don’t belong in the PL.
Check his posting history...every post is slagging off United....no posts showing any detailed knowledge of our our players, no detailed comment on our performances either. He always goes into hiding when we’re winning but turns up when we’re losing...telling everyone how crap we are.

To be fair, I don’t usually post on those threads because there’s only so many ways you can say the same things. I prefer the discussions of the rumour mill; doesn’t make me a pig.

Brewster wants to play football. He had a sniff at Liverpool's bench in pre-season and then we've come sniffing. So he's totally missed two games of the season already.

Several reports have said his preference is to come to BDTBL but after two/three weeks of rumoured interest from a club...positive agreements from the selling club...both managers keen on the deal...and there's STILL no bid, and now showing public doubt whether he's worth the proposed cost...

I'd be asking to speak to Palace too if I was him.

I don’t really buy this fabled ‘Chris Wilder character assessment’ bullshit anymore. We bought Lys Mousset when he was a stone and a half overweight which screamed a blatant lack of professionalism and McBurnie who’s instagram account, clearly illustrated a lifestyle that perhaps did not have dedication to his sport as its number one priority, yet the deals went through?

Whatever your opinion of them both, its hard to argue these negative personality traits have not been evident since their arrival for a combined £30m

Personally, I don’t know if our transfer policy is born out of desperation or that Chris Wilder is the worlds worst psychoanalyst, but either way, you can understand why HRH is hesitant to rubber stamp another £20m roll of the dice.
