Prince has decided to personally invest more funds to secure Brewster on a permanent basis. I remember a similar situation occurred with McBurnie, who was not part of the originally planned budget. McCabe did not want to provide funds for this transfer.

Perhaps the first game vs Wolves has inspired the Prince to put his hand in his pocket, too.

Or the money has always been there this summer, it just takes time to complete the deal or Brewster fees gone up other options have been dropped and alternates sought. Like the Arsenal kid instead of a foreign option?
Lots of possibilities but budgets don’t change after a single defeat and £20M deals aren’t done in 3 days.
