Never seen him play, don't know a great deal about him (except he's a young lad with plenty of 'potential') so IF we did sign him, be that on loan or a permanent, I'm still struggling to get too excited about it if I'm being honest.
Don't get me wrong, he could turn out to be the dogs bollox (and hopefully so) but given previous experiences with the likes of other 'wonder kids' from the 'BIG' clubs I shall remain a little guarded and sceptical . . . . . . until he bags 20 goals per season for the next 2-3 years including 4 or 5 match-winning wonder goals added into the mix as well . . . . . . . . . . .

Like you, aside from highlights, I've not seen all that much of him.

But if we don't sign him, I'm in that carpark with a placard saying "WE'UHS AMBISSHON".

At the end of the day we need a striker, CW has said that himself.....OK Burke is in the building but that's very much a "gamble" signing and besides, CW said "2 at the top end".....................so if it's not Brewster it will be someone before the window shuts.

Newcastle and WBA fans under the impression they are very much in for Brewster on loan too. Liverpool clearly won't have issues finding him a club to be loaned to, so reckon we'll be buying him if CWAK are keen 🤞
Thought WBA were in for Grant from udds??

Be nice to see his name on the team sheet at 5pm

Sounds like Liverpool are waiting for someone to open the bidding.

Can see it being £15m-£25m to land him

We might have more chance if it is a loan.

If it’s a loan....then Klopp has the final decision...he needs to know that Brewster will likely see game time and want to know how he’ll be used.
Klopp likes our style and has a good relationship with Wilder...so we might considered the best destination.

If it’s a sale...then it becomes an auction....whoever pays the most gets him (unless there are clauses).
I think if it’s a sale then our chances diminish....as more clubs show interest.

Agree with another poster....Wilder will be prepared and even if we don’t get Brewster....he’ll have 1 or 2 other potential strikers lined up.

Surely need some sort of unofficial verbal agreement to even be talking to the player otherwise whats the point?
I see what From the pig end is getting at. You may have good talks with the agent and player. He's happy to come, you are happy to have him. Everything is going well, then you go back to the parent club and find out they want £50m for him, a figure which is way beyond your budget, so the convivial talks with the agent and player come to nothing. A bit chicken and egg these days.

Well Wilder had a reyt smile last week so unless he’s had wool pulled over his eyes someone’s coming in

Also it's not helped when the parent club doesn't seem to entirely know what it wants to do as to whether it loans, sells outright or sells with strings attached. there'll be different clubs involved for each outcome.

Well after Burke was announced CW was "confident of another in the next couple of days"..........so if it was Brewster he could still have been thinking it was a loan and Liverpool now looking to sell could have killed it...
