CONFIRMED Rhian Brewster

£20m is a big gamble on a unproven PL striker. Looking at quest today Adam Armstrong scoring again looks a good finisher. 16 goals last season and at 23 he fits the last chance PL saloon profile CW seems to favour.
How do you say Brewster is a gamble as he’s unproven in the prem then in the same sentence mention another player who is also unproven in the premier league?

Still less of a gamble than 28m Watkins . Always a gamble when your purchasing players from other leagues however McBurnie and Maupay are not doing too badly and will improve and develop further .

I know it's Villa and we all know what they're like but I really can't see him going there. He'll be playing the same amount as he will have had at Liverpool, we'll have promised him consistent starts.

Not sure on him but thought it’s worth sharing. Surely if Sarr is replacing Brewster it’s permanent

Brewster not in the U23 team today after missing out from senior squad yesterday (although our friend Woodburn starting)

I don't think he'd be worried about not being promised games. From what I've seen of him he seems a really confident young lad that would back himself.
At 20 years old, my guess is that he'll go where his agent tells him. Unfortunately that also means, highest bidder wins (wage wise).

If its Palace or Villa then I think we've no chance.
If its us vs Brighton then it's 50/50.
In their favour; location, better team in attack.
In ours; Chris Wilder.

I wonder if this is all some classic Wilder subterfuge while we actually make a stealthy play for Dennis 🤔
my thoughts too... leaves number 24 wide open appearing to be vying for Brewster, sending dean et al pandering after him, then sneaks in and snaps up Dennis on a loan to buy £10m

We need the best person to score our goals. Is it Brewster is it Dennis? We need someone now to settle them in. I suppose whoever it is it’s a risk. Who’s best placed to guarantee goals?

Heres hoping 👍

Edit : Would explain that cheeky grin from the other day if thats whats going on

Armstrong has taken the hard route around the league's, so will be hungry to prove himself. Brewster 20 games on loan at Swansea and in the queue for Liverpool's best. Might not have the same hunger and be just another Woodburn.
We could probably get him and Dack for the same as Brewster. That's more of a CW deal.

Think he’s saying at £20 million it’s a gamble, Armstrong would be a cheaper gamble. ⚔️

This is what will do it for us, although if this is true it looks more like a loan than sale, unless Liverpool are really serious about the buy back clause

There`s still talk of Brooks going from Bournemouth. Leicester now rumoured to be interested.

Rangers supposedly keen to sign more players, and Lundstram has been linked with them.

With more cash from possibilities such as these added to the budget, and two squad numbers as yet unfilled, we might yet see CW conjure up two decent strikers.

Here`s hoping.

Rangers won’t buy Lundstram he’s free in literally 3 months.

Can anyone imagine any of our previous managers doing such a thing?

How much you seen of Dennis in comparison and what traits and attributes made you come to your decsion?

Must say, I share this scepticism.

I find it hard to believe several of our fans spend their spare time watching Club Brugges games.
His goalscoring record isn't impressive at a much lower level.

Wilder doesn’t ever seem to do bidding wars. So if the likes of villa are in for him, can’t see this going anywhere for us.

It will only happen if other considerations equally important as brass. They seldom are.

I've seen it in a daydream... We're going to announce AND parade Brewster on the pitch before kick off tomorrow.

That detailed development programme from CW: "He'll be reet here. He can watch Billy do finishing in training, and watch DidZy for everything else. Cheers, Chris"
