CONFIRMED Rhian Brewster

In addition, Woodburn got 11 games at League 1 Oxford last year. I suspect that Liverpool probably recognise that his development is the reason he didn't get picked for us rather than a problem here.

Especially when we got promoted with Duffy /Dowell performing much better.

Woodburn's limited appearances for OUFC last season was due to injury rather than selection. He did ok whilst there (but certainly didn't set the world alight) which probably showed his natural level. He may well improve to Champ level but it certainly highlights he wasn't ready/good enough to play at that level for Utd the other season

Not good enough at this point to push for a start so I don’t see any value in this for him, us or Liverpool.
I can see us using the loans for slightly older players where top clubs will consider letting them go on a perm at the end of the season as they’re unlikely to break through at the top level. Someone like Gallagher from Chelsea.

Just seen welbeck wants to leave watford. Would anyone take him here?

Brilliant on his day but can't finish and is always injured. Sounds a bit like Didsy and look what happened to his game and his injury record once CWAK got hold of him.

I'll get shot down for this - but yes I would. Contract carefully considered of course.

Think, as often the case, they'll be clubs with more money on wages that are willing. Wouldn't want him anyway to be honest, but as I'm not in charge what does that matter!

The way we handled Woodburn and Hendo should give clubs confidence in loaning players to prove or develop

2 goals today after coming off the bench against RB Salzburg.

I do not know what that means

James Wilson, I believe. Didn't have the heart or desire to get stuck in, he was too bothered about his non-existent chances or forcing his way into the Manchester United team.

Now I understand and 100% agree

Interesting.

Brewster was always going to be loaned out. That isn't news. Whether we'll be interested or not is a different matter. (We should be, but I was told weeks back we hadn't enquired as of yet)

This kid is being built up to being something he currently isn’t. From what I saw he absolutely isn’t a Premier League starter, which is fine as long as fans aren’t expecting him to be better than what we currently have.
The kid is only 20 so I wouldn’t expect him to be starting, and while he certainly looks like he’s going to be some player some of our number need to keep their expectations in check with reality.
We’re also back in the same boat, as we were with Hendo in his first season, where we’re blooding him for someone else.
I’d rather use the loan for someone who’s going to improve our first team and preferably with an option to buy.

I know we're not really being linked, but still feel this kid could be handy for our squad. Who else might we get that can add something as a loan striker?

Thankfully CWAK are the ones in charge. I have full faith.

Another article today states this and that Fulham have jumped ahead of us for Cash.

Who knows.

Better than what we have? not got much to beat has he really in terms of goalscoring.

He's not better than anything we have for our first choice forwards, Didsy aside score a decent amount based on the changes created.
Brewster wouldn't score more goals if the number of chances remained constant compared with McBurnie, Sharp or Moose and he can't compare to the other aspects of the game that they bring either. The only area I'd say he's immediately improve is if he can play 90 mins at top pace and when Moose comes back he can't.
