How do you manage to sleep on a 300 pager plus? None of us hardy UK Blades did.
It's one of those things you need to do in life. Bit of a waste of time, but that's the way it is.
Even so, watching the games often entails getting up at 2am. Certainly, well worth it (especially the Chelsea game last season).
Recent years have been exciting. Even more exciting times ahead.

I
Mané tested positive for Covid-19. Just hope Brewdog wasn’t exposed, think they trained together this week.

Would this just be the United twist?

Mane tested positive for the rona, I hope brewster hasn't bought it with him, surely the footballing gods can't be this cruel even to us

I was more worried about the buy back clause. How soon can they exercise it?

Just woke up and seen the magic green confirmed status. Well done folks. You're all off the hook.

Now, what to do with that extra 3 hours a day without this thread...
Seems like the Brooks thread could be gathering some momentum!

Mentioned him on the Possible summer targets thread. I think he could be a very strong loan signing for us. Maybe not ready to be in the starting 11 from day 1, but certainly a real handful from the bench. Pace, power and goals.

From doing a bit of digging seems a couple of Bundesliga clubs are trying to poach him, so Liverpool could be keen to send him out on loan to get some game time and keep him occupied.

Could be a very astute addition.

Brilliant how you tweeted this 2 years ago - I am very happy
Welcome Rhian! We're all chuffed to bits to sign him and I don't think he'll disappoint! He seems to take everything in his stride and seems a confident lad. The pace we've got with Brewster and Burke with the Moose to come back is exciting and should give us an added edge.
I am exceptionally happy - 20 years old and the world as his oyster. Well done for splashing the cash a brilliant bit of business

Having seen some of the goals he scored for Swansea I would say one of his strengths is quick reactions. Although we created a lot of chances against Leeds most shots were straight at the keeper. That’s where Brewster might be better. Admittedly, he hasn’t played full time in the Premier League so we will have to see if he can replicate his goal scoring record from the Championship.
He appears to like to shoot early...like when Mousset was on fire 🔥 last year. Hopefully he’ll catch keepers off guard 🤞

It would be fascinating to read a 'view from' post from other clubs about our new acquisition. Especially from Villa, Palace and others. Over to you Roy.

Villa fans are too busy rubbing their hands in glee that because Mané has COVID, they are now going to get 3 points vs. Liverpool.

Oh, but there is:

Thanks for the heads up on this one

What I don't get is this, if Brewster is as crap as they seem to think then why are banging on about the transfer sounding like they are gutted to have missed out.

Can someone explain to me (in lehmans terms) if that's even how you spell it, how this buyback clause works? Don't know if it's buried in the great tome of Brewster somewhere but ya know...

I would love to think that it means that if we decide to sell him in the first 3 years that we have to give Liverpool first refusal at £40m. If they don't want him and we sell to someone else they take 15%.
If that's the case I think it's a good deal

brewster cost belowe haaland, english citizienship add five times street value

Wenn Brewster gut, sie ihn bei uns zurückkaufen, aber nur innerhalb von 3 Jahren. Ich gehe davon aus, dass der Spieler dem ebenfalls zustimmen muss.

Well surely Liverpool can't just say on the last day of a transfer window they want him back, I would hope it is written in that they have to give us notice so we can get a replacement. At least it will dissuade any other club trying to buy him for the next 3yr knowing pool have first dibs. Then again if they do want to take him back what say does Brew dog have he might not want to go back, can he refuse?

Its not a first refusal transfer, that would enable us to retain the right to decide when to sell him in the future. In Laymans terms its a contract with Liverpool whereby if they invoke the buy back clause within a set time frame we have no option but to sell him back to Liverpool at the stated price in the clause.

He is our player, its not a loan but we can not sell him without seeking Liverpools permission or offering them the option to take up the buy back. The attached provides more detail on how it works.

The bit I still don't really get it the 3 years thing. Does this mean at any point in the next 3 years they can just buy him if they pay 40m? Or If we decide to sell in the next 3 years, they just have first dibs at 40m?

Or if Villa want to buy him next season for 90m Liverpool can buy him for 40m off us and flog him for 90m?

V confusing. Or I'm just thick 😂

Para 1:- yes (during the transfer windows) - the (alleged ?) 40m may change (increase) the longer he is with us &/or performs well (appearances / goals international call up) + 'first dibs

Para2 :-probably - personally I'd enjoy that

Para 3 Yes. Possibly😉🤔
