Bar Tananga I’m not that enamoured with any of them. Mee an experienced cover but how match fit is he?
Also puts question marks on Binman’s future. Waste of a loan, if so. That adds pressure to SeLLLLEs too as he and the ineffective Barry were his first picks.

I like what I saw of Soumare. Not sure why he hasn’t played him since.

Polendakov Looked very good when he came on in the U21 match v Charlton.
He should be given minutes in the first team.

If he was good enough he would’ve been playing as the idea that a player is good enough to play after four straight losses and not played is lunacy, even with this manager.

We've said it before about being great transfer windows. Sometimes I do think we have done. Others like 2023 was a car crash even though we got Hamer, Souza etc.

Id say last summer's was generally very good. To get monies back on Trusty, Osula and what not. And bring in Cooper, Burrows, Souttar, Campbell was some sound business. Even McCallum as competition was good.
Obv some didn't quite work. Shackleton being one as he's mainly been injured too.

This summer we've lost key players in Souza and Anel. Along with loanees returning and some depth leaving.

Tanganga seems very sound replacement for Anel. Unfortunately on the rest it's a wee bit of wait and see. Some may flourish some may not.
McGuinness seems a wise choice. As does Ogbene. Ings could be very shrewd if he can stay fit and find even a bit of form. Mee I do like he's got the experience and prior qualities even just 2 years ago.

Many of the rest are to be honest unknown quantities. Bindon so far hasn't pulled up any trees despite Reading fans singing his praises.

For me whilst I like that we've got some numbers in it's felt like a scramble. And I can't help but think we sat by in June and early July whilst some decent frees went around. Could we have still pursued J.Dunne or was that Wilder pulling him in?
What about the likes of H.Darling too? This is what I'm referring too. Yes alot of business happens late on but not all.
