Are they really great players - I do not think so - they are just new and I suspect that they have not been identified by Selles

Personally I have lost track of who we have signed and do not know much about them

The owners do not have a football pedigree, Bettis hasn’t a clue and you have to hope they have not been picked by AI so who is behind the signings

Either way is anybody confident that Selles is the man to get them playing together in the right formation

So you don’t think any of them are great players but you don’t know much about them. Ok.

Polendakov Looked very good when he came on in the U21 match v Charlton.
He should be given minutes in the first team.

Utter dog's dinner of a transfer window from owners who were clearly split on removing Wilder, now don't have much confidence in Selles and have ended up acquiring a bunch of journeymen to try to ensure the club stays in the league.

I didn’t see the Brentford match but against Charlton he was only on for about 15 mins and he looked a class above.

Grabbing players early on who are not good enough is panic. These players look like the end products of research and patience.
Just because they are signed late on doesn’t mean that they are not good enough as last year’s summer window showed.

It's been one hell of a mess

Good fees for Anel and Souza but nowhere near pro active enough on incomings and it's handicapped us. We've seemingly leapt from one strategy to another, with it culminating in a bunch of relative panic signings near the end

They've left us with a squad that is strong enough for a proper manager to get into the top 6 but is by no means anything close to a convincing promotion standard squad

It is a very random mish mash of players with no regard given to how they will gel as characters and as a team. As a result the identity has changed completely, and not in the way where it will inevitably lead to a better style of play or anything like that. I have no faith in a cohesive unit emerging from this lot. A Dyche sort of manager would be needed to provide any such assurances

If I had to guess now, we're left with something that will see us finish 7th to 12th - and even then only if we appoint a competent manager
