I'm a little concerned he might be having a bit of a nervous breakdown or collapsed in an exhausted heap somewhere.
We should at least club together to buy him some soothing balm for his fingers or summat!

He’d probably just waste the soothing balm on a different appendage..

I know it's easy to say this with hindsight, but the 2025 summer transfer window has to go down as one of our worst ever.

Sold Anel and Souza - two key players from last season (albeit we got decent fees for them). Replaced them with:

• Barry - awful, not even close to being good enough for this level
• Godfrey - awful, complete disaster every time he played
• Matos - awful, I have never seen a player with so little coordination
• Bindon - has improved, but for me still nowhere near good enough
• McGuinness - not good enough for this level
• Zatterstrom - not played, but hopefully one for the future.
• Uhkaki - not played, hopefully one for the future?
• Polendakov - as above!?
• Ogbene - started OK without being great, now looks like he's on his way out?
• Chong - looks fairly average to me, and has been injured most of the season
• Ings - 33yo with more injuries than goals so far
• Mee - looks over the hill and solid but very average nowadays
• Soumare - has looked off the pace most of the season
• Tanganga - our only decent signing, and even he has had 3 or 4 shocking performances

(I would say I'm being quite generous with 2 or 3 of these)

In comparison, Wilder has brought in Riedewald and Bamford, who you could argue have been two of our best players this season. What a contrast. What a fucking disaster. It makes you want to tear your hair out.

We didn’t address any of our weaknesses from last season and lost most of our good players.

Really exposed how over reliant we were on loans last season.

Whenever we announce the signing of two or more players on the same day, at least 50% of them turn out to be shite. Eg. David McGoldrick and Marv Johnson, Jaden Bogle and Max Lowe. We didn't even get near the 50% with this summer's shit show

McGuinness - not good enough for this level

I will defend McGuinness because I think he'll come good for us. Hes hardly had a consistent run alongside Tanganga. And when he did the whole team was poor when Wilder was playing that strange formation of Tanganga at right back.. he's only 24, and unfortunately the best game he had (against stoke) he got injured, and was rushed back for the West Brom game. Hes with us now, give him time i think he'll be a decent centre back.
There's a reason Luton paid £10mil for him.

Im curious to know what we paid.

Disagree on Bindon, he is good enough for this level, hasn't done much wrong since getting back into the side and I am glad he got his chance.

bindon has taken his chance and could well have earned himself a contract mcguinness on the other hand looks a league 1 centre back and think he can only be useful to us from the bench or in a back 3 hes a bombscare in a back 4

Agree, thought he was really good in parts, will only get better with more game time.
