Not sure I mind a deal that looks on the higher side, but is heavily skewed to the Add-On end of things. If he's earning the Add-On's, it means we're benefitting.

We are going to move into desperation stage tomorrow where we'll buy anyone, or overpay for a player, just to keep disgruntled fans happy

I get the feeling cleary will be that purchase
Hope not.

I hope we only sign players for long term. I'd rather not sign anyone than over priced expensive loans.

But - we have to ahead of the game in the summer.

Brother in law is a regular Barnsley fan,he really rates him, destined for higher up. I said about Barry who failed with us,he said about Brian Howard, who was a proper footballer in mine and his eyes but also failed with us,there is a pattern emerging.

I believe he will play in the top division. By his standards, he was quiet yesterday, but still did a couple of things I'd not expect from a League One player.

Blackburn tried to get him for £1.5million, I think.

I believe at least one of Cleary, or David Keillor-Dunn, will be out the door before this window SLAMS SHUT. The financial position ain't great, so one or both is going to have to go.
League one lower champ at best
See whos right
Seen him 6 times average every time

I don't know if he is a billionaire - his dad might be, but Neerav Parekh himself, I am not sure.

He has been willing to plug losses, but has alluded to that being something which won't carry on indefinitely.

The billionaires from the 2017 takeover, had short arms, and long pockets.
Makes you wonder why they buy a club to leave it where it is in the pyramid

Don't be ridiculous ...
That would be like buying a cannon that will never fire
🤣

I'm not sure 2 players over the course of 20 years constitutes a pattern, other than almost all footballers need the circumstances to be right to play their best

I was being tongue in cheek, saying that, how many up and coming players come here and we improve them, sell them on for a good sum ? Illiman is one but Wilder didn’t fancy him. Thankfully the academy keeps producing but even then we have a habit of giving them away.

Getting players from Cat 2 Academy to top 2 division starter is incredibly difficult. United have done a great job of it

They have, agree very much. It’s the envy of many, just hope we can get the HSBC up and running asap but that seems to be stumbling along, even the pigeons are getting pissed off. Trouble is,the yanks like owning land and hold onto it for yonks to make sure it prospers at high prices.

Why not? Maybe it’s just enjoyable owning and running a football club. Not all clubs aspire to be the next Man City.
But if they live in another country and hardly attend any games , it's hard to see where the enjoyment is for them , when their toy loses money and is a constant burden on finances.

Someone’s going to have to explain the hype on this one to me because the underlying numbers don’t scream ‘Wilder player’.

He was probably the most exciting player on the pitch V Liverpool and everyone’s seen that one performance and got giddy head on.

He’s got potential but he’s miles off the finished article from what I’ve seen. Hes probably comparable to One but different position. Young, very raw, loads of potential and all the attributes but miles off being a regular.
