The atmosphere around the place always has a certain magic to it when the man in charge detests the godawful spineless fannying about* that we've seen during these recent dark years. Chris Wilder is a welcome continuation of that heritage.

And we are almost one third of the way through the season and played nearly all of the top half of the table - with Bradford to come on Saturday. We've had very few games against struggling sides. This suggests many of our hardest games from the first half of the season have already been played.

We're only 3 points better off than after the same amount of matches last season. We're looking very good at the moment, but as we all know things can soon change in football, so it's cautious optimism for me at the moment.

If we're still up there after January having not sold anyone, then I'll start to believe we will do it.

We're only 3 points better off than after the same amount of matches last season. We're looking very good at the moment, but as we all know things can soon change in football, so it's cautious optimism for me at the moment.

The stats might say we're 3 points better off but in many of those matches last season we stumbled to victory and apart from Peterborough away and the 2nd half of Bradford at home we were never convincing.

This season there's a pattern forming.
We seem to be getting better and have been really dominant the last 3 matches.
The type of dominance we haven't witnessed since the Danny Wilson and Ched days.

Difference for me is we didn't get off to a flying start, rather a dreadful one which we turned around with the bulk of the season still in front of us.

I don't see us falling back to the low standards we showed in those first few games, I can only see us keeping up the sort of effort, commitment, belief, passion and team spirit we're now showing.

You're right of course about how much of the season is left, but I see that as a bonus in our favour.

I think we'll do it this time, by winning the league by some margin .
