Just got back. Very, very disappointing.

Until they scored there was nowt in it. This is hardly a compliment but I thought we were going to improve in 2nd and get something. We didn't and it looked shambolic for last 30. Hard to say much more, we had virtually no attacks in 2nd half let alone chances.

I must stress this is not a bad day at the office, it is a very worrying run of games that has got so bad as to justify callls for the manager to go. People may disagree but some results are beyond what is acceptable and the last 2 ar very close to that for me.

I think regulars will know what I think about Blackwell so no need to add anything. What I will add is an admission that I have been wrong about France, he was good tonight in relative terms.

Did you stay until the end?

I was right in middle of the action when it kicked off at the end.

I think France did have a decent game but just doesn't offer the same energy and fight Montgomery has - he and ward are a massive loss for united - added to that the other injuries and not fully fit players - it is a ready made excuse.

That said why is a £3mil striker on the bench at most away games? Why is a player who clearly wants no future at the club still playing? Many arguments breaking out on the pitch and the stands or between both? And Blackwell just sat as though he didn't care for the last 15mins while united were being made to look like amateurs at all levels.

Something is wrong and it's not just the injury crisis.

What happened at the end of the game GC88?

yes i said this the other day somethings definatly not right down at the lane and as for blackwell i was embarrased today holloway didnt sit down once on the touchline all the game geeing his team on, blackwell just sat and looked like he wasnt interested. NOT GOOD ENOUGH

What happened at the end of the game GC88?

Some people started to abuse Quinn and he reacted to it. He came over to the away end and gave them a peice of his mind. To which several other fans waded in towards him, seperated by only the hoardings and a few stewards. After a few seconds Quinn was taken away by the players and Morgan came over to try and calm things down.

It Started off just as a confrontation between Quinn and the one fan but when Quinn said something back to him(which I heard and won't post) many fans reacted and the fans/player had to be pulled apart - Morgan came right over to us and was putting his hand on the badge shouting "we're all blades".

Nah, the players didn't look happy at all with the abuse from the fans. It wasn't like we even supported them to be honest. We just stood and watched.

never easy to get an atmosphere going at there ground tho to be fair and at the moment theres nothing for us fans to shout about

Wasn't pretty at the end, we were also in the middle of it.

Didn't hear what Quinny first said, but basically turned into a fair few finger pointing and abusing the players and others clapping, not to applaud the performance, but to show the players they were behind them.

Felt particularly sorry for Treacy, who didn't get long on the pitch, but put some effort in and tried to offer something different. He was just stood there, completely bemused, looking like a rabbit in the headlights.... Looked as if he could break into tears. I was particularly annoyed at the bloke next to me laying into him pointing the finger, not that he listened to my reasoning.

Morgs initially tried to get across that they all knew and to calm down as we are all blades, to be met by more abuse by many and ended up getting quite riled but didn't really lose his temper. He moved on and began clapping the fans who weren't abusing. Kyle Walker pretty much turned his back on the situation and appeared to mouth some choice words. Taylor, like Treacy looked totally bemused and dejected.

Was a bit of a surreal situation all around really, perhaps GC88 can shed more light, as obviously got to the front quicker than we did, but to begin with, some of the players looked to be confused and wondering if fans wanted their shirts at one stage before it fully kicked off. Was wierd.

Not a scene I want to see repeated though.

As for the match, i'm knackered so won't go too in depth at the moment, but I didn't think we were bad until we conceeded, then we just self destructed.

You have summarised it fairly well there foxy

I was going to metion Keith treacy and how dejected he looked - he was pretty much motionless watching it all happen - for me he did well whe he came on.

I can't believe how many people are shouting abuse at the players - first it was Henderson in the warm up at scunny now people having a go at them all - I even heard someone shouting at williamson when he came ON!!! - what do they think he players are robots? It was only matter of time until one had had enough of the abuse and was just a shame that it escalated due to how many people were walking past.

I felt really sorry for the players. The fans are so close to the pitch there, that it was all VERY personal. As Foxy said, there were fans clapping, just to disassociate themselves from the fans who were abusing the players I suspect. It was very, very ugly. There was hardly any singing all game. Fans were arguing with each other. Until Blackpool scored it was pretty even, but then any confidence the team had just evaporated and you just knew they would score more. Things are really bad, Blackwell seems to have lost the dressing room and the only answer I can see is that he must go. As someone said to me at half time, this is far worse than under Robson.

I wasn't there, but someone who was there told me that after Quinn's tete a tete with the fans the atmosphere was like a morgue. For example, there was complete silence in the gent's toilets after the game and also on the coach back.

I was also told that abuse was all that the players (and Blackwell) deserved after their second half performance. That said, Scunthorpe was supposedly even worse.

This is the problem we have Foxy. The players don't seem happy with the manager or each other, the fans are abusing certain players and the manager and the performances and results are poor.

I'm not a big fan of sacking the manager for the sake of it as quite often there are valid excuses but sometimes you need a clean break, a new man to come in and sort things out, bring in new ideas and a new approach and I think we've reached that time.

All worrying stuff. We're witnessing a melt-down at the moment which can only end in KB going.
While the 'style' of play under KB has been dire to say the least, when it's accompanied by (usually) good results it becomes easier to stomach.
Now we've lost five in a row, little if any hope for the next two and a relegation skirmish may be coming.
Once the bond between fans and players fragments, there's often no going back.

Nah, the players didn't look happy at all with the abuse from the fans. It wasn't like we even supported them to be honest. We just stood and watched.

Well, according to spadge:

as for blackwell i was embarrased today holloway didnt sit down once on the touchline all the game geeing his team on, blackwell just sat and looked like he wasnt interested. NOT GOOD ENOUGH

so why expect the fans to be interested if Blackwell can't? This is just like under Robson. He just stood there like a tailor's dummy.

And as for the spat with Harper, these things happen at most clubs and they get smoothed over. It's called management.

Some of the abuse directed at Quinn was fairly personal and nothing to do with football and probably felt he just couldn't walk away.

I really hope the fans now start backing the players as it's hard for me to take hearing so many people shouting at the players when the could be supporting them and hopefully everyone will back the players especially Quinn in the next game.

Despite his limitations and persistence in hooking the ball over his shoulder, Squinny gave 100% last night and dare I say 'ran his socks off' for the cause.

yeah blah blah but he's crap!! he is the most devisive player we have ever had at the lane.. even more so than monty.. there are two philosophies at the club.. there is the ooh they run around a lot and keep winning crew and there are the we'd be better if we got it on the ground crew.. the infighting is breaking out all over the place.. i've seen a couple of punch ups in the westfield (bloody westfield!) lately..
the club is in melt down.. purely for this devisiveness we need to get rid of blackwell and his favourites and this shambolic football ASAP before we go right out the bottom

Puts a funny spin on the "divide and conquer" battle plan! Divide ourselves and conquer the management?

Not saying he's a great player, just pointing out that of the players out there last night, Squinny couldn't be singled out for lack of effort.

I don't think a lack of effort is the problem. We are just a very, very poor side at the moment and the slide is irreversible in my opinion. The whole thing was very scary last night for me in terms of how much our lot are getting paid to generate a performance like that. I know Blackpool's start to season indicates that they were perhaps slight favourites last night etc but it wasn't good enough and I'm disappointed that McCabe (I assume) would not have been there to witness the almost total lack of attacking flair and intent.

The lads who I went with think we'll finish in top 6 still so there are more rational Blades than me who think it will turn under Blackwell

I think it could turn under Blackwell and have been against him for ages - I just think that if uniteds performances recently are down to injuries and not man management problems united could stil become a top 8-10 team this season once the likes of Ward and Montgomery are fit. With all due respect to cresswell and France - they off nowhere near the same amount to blackwells system as the two former. If the problems are deeper than the injury crisis which I am beginning to suspect, then if it's one or two players causing problems they should move on - any more and it's the manager who should go.

Quinny doesn't pick himself - he isn't a great player but he certainly isn't crap

Because regardless of the manager, players, directors or officials it is still our team and we should support them.

Last night however I don't think anyone felt any enthusiasm to do so.

Players are playing devoid of any confidence whatsoever. That was proven when we imploded after Blackpool scored (before we were doing ok).

Don't care about injuries, that clueless idiot has to go. He plays 4-5-1 (can't blame him for that). Blackpool score and he does nothing. Nada, niente. No subs warming up, no Evans of the bench, no tactical change (i.e. 4-4-2). What does he do? he waits for Blackpool to put a second in (game over) before he changes anything. He's lost the dressing room, players are lost.

You are out of your depth Blackwell. Do eveveyone a favour (including yourself) and walk.

agree completely ollessendro, as for the fans for them who had a go at the players and gave them personal abuse 1 word for you WANKA's, dont ever go to watch united again, the club doesnt need fans like you, especially when half of the mindless idiots havnt got a clue about football and are just constent piss heads. UP THE FUCKING BLADES!!

Completely agree, United seem to have a pretty large contingent of these mindless idiots who spoil it for the average Blade, the likes who boo Quinn as he comes on as sub, the same idiots who booed Cresswell when he done the same, yet is we win our next set of home matches we'll all hear "Blackwell gis a wave".

I'm getting embarrassed by these idiots and now feel a little apprehensive about going to saturdays match, which i have not felt since Robson was in charge.

I can't realy comment on the performances as ive not seen them, but by the sounds of other opinions its more than the dip in form i thought it was at the start.

It also sounds like we will struggle to recover from it, which was exalted by Blackwells interview last night on RS.

Final point, can we just support the team on saturday? 800 disgruntled Blades sound bad enough, never mind 25,000+.

yes had one sat next to me who kept shouting get off the pitch you fuckin pig to creswell im like omg why bother
