I've listened to his BBC interview and when asked about going back to Everton for players he said "not immediately, the priority is to assess the current playing staff" or words to that effect.

He's been looking at loads of DVDs - poor sod I'd hate to think I had to re-watch many of our recent games.

My interpretation is once he's assessed how useless some of the players are, he will be looking for better replacements and some may well be loans from Everton.

Subject to budget of course.

Eh? Clearly my comment was based on the original post saying Weir said he had no plans to bring anyone in - not the Everton angle. Having seen the full interview I'm more optimistic he recognises that he will have to add to what we have - but time will tell. A striker, a winger who can beat an opponent and more pace generally are needed
