I have rarely got any prediction wrong .not once in the past 5 years have I said we would piss the league .said wed be around the play offs most seasons and we have and was told by many when I saw Adkins wsnt the man I was being too hasty .but I was spot on

I have always maintained the play offs are a lottery.I know we will win one one day which has always been what I put.it took Preston 10 attempts but they finally won one, as will we one day

For people to say we will get relegated was idiotic after 5 games as was the idea we wouldnt bring any one in. It was only Adkins fault we never brought in enough players which is now glaringly obvious

Whatever happened to 'lower drop blade', he seems remarkably quiet.

I find it strange that fans who must have seen how fortune's can change in football (sometimes on the back one result like Barnsley's last minute equaliser against us), can write their team and/or manager off in under two weeks. What's also surprising is that they seem far slower to dish out a bit of praise when it's due, almost as if they're waiting for the wheels to fall off again before commenting.

I think the key thing is not to get on a downer too soon and the OP was way too soon, but it's just as important not to get too carried away. We've won nothing yet and have two away games in the next few days. If we do ok and at least stay unbeaten great, but if we don't, then let's leave the rusty sword in the cupboard for a few more weeks because an even longer run could be just around the corner. There's never a gimme game in football especially at this stage of the season. They'll be teams currently struggling who'll end up pushing for promotion, and teams currenty at the top end who might even be relegated. We see it virtually every season in every division.

Adkins brought more than enough players in.

His problem was that they were the wrong ones.
