Just looking on the OS and reading a DW interview about the squad being changed (probably drastically for next season). Having offered KM and Willo new deals and released James Beattie, Andy Taylor, Johnny Ertl, Steve Simonsen, how much more do you think has to come off the wage bill?
I reckon Simmo was a top earner on 9k+, Beattie 4k, Ertl and taylor probably another 4-5K each. Thats about a million of the wage bill, how much more do you think we need?

Don't forget Ched. Losing him is a huge chunk off the bill. There is another thread lurking which includes the wage budget we're going to have to adhere to from now on. Can't quite recall but think it was £6+m?

Ertl and taylor won't have been on anything near 4k. Probably nearer 2k each.

Forgot about Ched. He was on close to 20 wasnt he?
The thing is I have no idea what KMac was/is on and I imagine Willo be around 9-10k. Surely offering 10k a week extra between them which still leaves 10k free from Ched a week plus the above mentioned would mean we are not completley overstreching ourselves ?
Anyone know wat Kmac and the released were on ?

Ertl and taylor won't have been on anything near 4k. Probably nearer 2k each.

O.K say 5k a week for the pair. 4 for Beattie, 10k for Simmo and between 15-20 for Ched.
That still puts us knocking about 1.3 mil off for the year.

Very true, but i think our wage bill i was over 10 million a year, so a huge number still needs to come off, or we need to increase revenue so that we can have a higher wage bill.. Could be wrong of course

Think this season's wage ceiling has to be based on last season's recorded revenue. So any increase in revenue wouldn't help till next season. But hopefully by then we'll be in the championship anyway.

As I understand it they have to submit an annual budget based on projected income and then update it every month as a control mechanism. That means it will be based on actuals this year as opposed to historical figures from last

I heard a rumour that Ched's wages were being subsidised by Mcabes own funds, as opposed to the clubs funds(please dont ask me what the difference is). So the loss of Cheds large wages probably wont be as big as imagined. As I said at the start this was just a rumour

Figures - if the wage bill was over 110% of turnover the delta has to come from somewhere.
